Does that mean that we'll get actual mod tools now?
Source?
Please tell me this gun really exists.
No user they used id Tech 6 as the engine, not source.
Hard to say. They seem pretty intent on supporting SnapMap, seeing as they keep adding features to it.
Maybe they'll release full mod tools once they're through with all their plans for SnapMap.
...
Steam stub means regular ass SteamDRM protection which means protection at all
So is Denuvo at launch and removing it a few months in the new strategy for game companies? If so guess I can't complain if it gets taken out eventually.
MOD SUPPORT WHEN
>mod tools for a dead now game
time has passed
fuck off, go back to your ancient doom. nu-doom is my jam and mod support would be nice.
Can I play it without ruining my SSD now?
What the hell is going on? This is like the second or third time this is happening right?
Cool, i might buy the game now
...what?
Retard I'm saying that only 1.5 people will be happy for mod support because time of glory (kek) for nu-doom has passed and barely anybody cares about it.
Now, only modding was available since day0 we did have bunch of decent mods by now
Yes
it's a fucking photograph user, what do you mean 'tell you'? it was a one-off unique production, the photos on the internet (there are one or two more) are from when it was sold at auction in 90s/00s. it will probably never surface again.
volley guns are in a legal grey area in the USA, there will most likely never be commercial offerings of anything similar because the ATF could arbitrarily decide its illegal at any time. and if gun control does completely go away they would be made total novelties by real machine guns.
Google double barreled revolver.
I think that was the aim of Denuvo, since most of pirating occurs as a game is released.
BRUTAL D44M WHEN?
Nice! Now I can still not play it because it's meh.
>Nu-Pirate Doom
>Nu-Hdoom
>Nu-pol.wad
It'll be glorious
Pretty much, I think companies only care about having it for a few months when most of the games sale happen.
denuvo already did its job
>barely anybody cares about it.
But you're lying
So which wads do you want to see ported if they do any modding tools?
My listThen add in Doom 1, 2 and 64 conversion mods
>nu-gone doom
>Quake total conversion
>people unironically think modtools will make everything just as moddable as before
kek
It's actually not that unusual to patch out DRM after the release window has passed if it's considered egregious. It's not as common as it once was back in the late 90s and early 2000s but you still get it occasionally, e.g. Ubisoft seem to do it fairly often.
Worth a shot anyway.
Modders are crazy on what they can do with shit. Just look at any Bethesda game other than Fallout 4.
Can't say this trend would bother me. If they stick DRM for the first few months and then patch out DRM after EVERY SINGLE TIME, then that's fine by me.
I still think it's stupid and doesn't accomplish much and in fact probably hurts sales but it isn't nearly as egregious.
why pay for drm licensing at all
are publishers retarded
Apparently the most pirating occurs in the first few months, after that, pirating goes on a decline.
This statically of course and not fact.
For those of you that still think Denuvo is good, read this, it was written by one of the developers who works for a company that used Denuvo for his product reddit.com
Source?
I am glad to see a dev do this, as it means the world in terms of preservation. I expect in 50 years it would be trivial to run a VM with Windows 7 much like we can emulate old consoles and operating systems within the confines of modern hardware and software. Removing any tools like Denuvo and Securom from games let's these games function years down the road when the servers have been disconnected and there's no way to authenticate anymore. Good move.
Overall I like that Denuvo fucked over the pirates. I haven't pirated a game since STALKER back in 07. I went on to buy that entire series and have been buying games exclusively ever since. It's nice to know 3rd world shitters can't cheat their way into these games day one and ruin it for more important people. Thanks Denuvo, for fucking over Hue hues and cyka blyats.
...
>get to play as a Spectre in MP
Neat.
>high 7 figures
Holy fucking Christ
What the goddamn fucking fuck?
>oh those fuckers cracked my game
>might as well remove the DRM
is snapmap still shit or can it provide good singleplayer stuff now?
>Does that mean that we'll get actual mod tools now?
No. Unless you feel like waiting 72 hours for the engine while it bakes in the lighting and compresses 800 gigas of textures into a small package.
someone explain this to a >>retard(me)
>gigas
What are you, some fucking faggot Armenian piece of shit? Gigas? GIGAS?
Literally kill yourself.
People have been making campaigns by now having the option to link maps together via a lobby, you can now have people communicate to you, you have classic moduals and sound effects with some props, can now have the single player multiple weapon system instead of two weapons at the cost of object counter being slightly lowered.
millions for denuvo?
I think devs will be better off by adding enticing online features instead.
In single player they could add some bare bones player interactivity, maybe spawn in some other player's world as a special demon or something.
That or they could have made multiplayer actually good.
snake oil salesmen at work
God you sound like an insufferable cunt.
>no source at all or proof
alright I believe it.
calm your fucking tits you autistic anus
why they removed it?
it's almost as if denuvo is purchased as a subscription license or a final sale percentage cut license, and bethesda doesnt want to pay that anymore now that the drm doesnt work
really fires up those neurons, doesn't it?
>bethesda doesnt want to pay that anymore now that the drm doesnt work
I hope other companies start giving up on Denuvo too.
He's right though. Stop asking redit-tier questions you retarded motherfucker.
I still refuse to even pirate that shitheap since they started adding meme references to it. Ruins the fucking atmosphere.
They Never gonna remove Denuvo if it wasnt cracked at all.
Example : All 40+ Uncrackable Denuvo games
That wasn't me that asked the question.
Why? It makes no sense for them to do this and it sets a trend to just wait until games a year or so old and then pirate them.
This defeats the entire purpose of the DRM. You have near-uncrackable DRM forever or not at all. It's not going to guarantee sales in the first year on PC.
Doom was cracked by CPY.
The DRM is now worthless.
>Uncrackable
Unckacred != unckrakable
Apparently Denuvo is expensive as fuck so companies are only using it for awhile and then patching it out because they're too cheap to keep paying Denuvo to run activation servers for them
>seven figures
>for something proven to be able to be cracked in many of their titles within the span of 6 months or so
Wow, Denuvo is laughing all the way to the bank with this scheme and major publishers are actually paying hand over fist for it.
Nearly everyone who plays on PC either A: wanted the game anyway so they'd buy it anyway, B: Was going to pirate the game straight away or barring that buy it for dirt-cheap in a sale.
That's your primary customer base. Paying a million+ is literally a waste of money.
>Why? It makes no sense for them to do this and it sets a trend to just wait until games a year or so old and then pirate them.
That's apparently Denuvo's business model.
If they can hold out for 3 months, they get paid. Otherwise like DOOM, you get a refund and Denuvo gets nothing (or at least, they only keep the non-refundable fees).
DOOM was uncracked for more than 3 months
I got nothing then.
Developers are all retarded.
Some people says CPY cracked all the games
and they releasing the game in a graduated schedule.
I dont know if its true or not cause CPY is mute
I'm pretty sure id tech being in Bethesda's umbrella means it loses it's SDK freedom like before
It's probably true considering they had exactly 14 days between releases.
Come to think of it, their first release was in August irc, just before the 3 months deadline after release. Doom was cracked 1 month later
>Nu-HDoom
[loud sweating]
>Summoners
>Hell Guards
Oh yeah
>tfw every game cant be coded like DOOM and vulkan
>all ultra settings on 2 year old rig and 100+ FPS
