It was just a matter of time

It was just a matter of time.

And now I can finally pirate.

WOW WHAT

Denuvo was bypassed a while ago, they probably removed it because it was fucking worthless

Is this because denuvo is taxing on lower spec systems?
Or is there another reason?

Because piracy doesn't result in lost sales. Why pay for something that is doing literally nothing (and may actually be doing harm according to various sources)?

But the Denuvo version already got cracked multiple times?

from plebit
>Denuvo Software Solutions offers a guarantee, if your Denuvo game is cracked within a certain time (3 months is normal), you do not have to pay for Denuvo. Part of claiming the refund is you must remove Denuvo from your game.

Why go through the trouble of removing it, though? Do publishers have to pay a monthly fee to keep Denuvo protection on their games? Or are they actually aware that the removal of Denuvo might cause some more people to buy the game?

because you have to keep paying for the expensive license and its already been cracked.

Denuvo's purpose is to keep the game uncracked for the first couple of weeks because developers think that pirates have a massive impact on the sales. Ironically enough all Denuvo games have been major flops in both sales and performance though.

see

Thanks. I guess Denuvo got BTFO.

They don't need Denuvo for that long. All that matters is securing the first few months.

>dumb people are going to complain about denovo
>pirates will just wait for it to get cracked
>people that wants to buy it will get it on a sale
It didn't matter in the long run

Well yea, why keep it if it failed at it's job.

I'm glad Denuvo got assfucked.

It's basically sold the maximum amount that it ever will, so the DRM is now unnecessary.
Also it probably means that they'll no longer support it, considering it's Bethesda.

They realized denuvo is bad for the games. Denuvo is finished.

I believe this has something to do with TPPA down S.E.A. We have the highest software piracy count in the world over here.
Since TPPA is done for, there is no need for Denuvo to exists on the game entertainment side anymore. Soon others will follow.

Plus with the demise of some of the largest torrenting sites, its no supprise majority of normies can't find a way to torrent.

It's my speculation which i'm not certain off but its my best bet.

Hahaha buyfags BTFO!

now I can finally buy it.
Hopefully is as good as you guys say

I haven't really wanted to play it because I'm shit at multiplayer games and I'll just feel lonely playing singleplayer.
Man, I sure am depressed. Haha.

have you tried the demo? it lets you play through the first level

it gives a pretty good impression of the game and how it will perform on your PC, though there's some people reporting framerate issues when there's smoke on the screen and smoke doesn't appear before the second level

This gets me in the mood to actually buy the game.

I mean, people were pirating it anyway.

how big is the download

this game is one of the most optimized games ever. i can run it on my laptop (albeit at a lower resolution) at 30 fps. spec of my laptop : i7 5500u 12gb ram intel 5500. And no this isnt my main gaming machine. i just downloaded it on there for shits and giggles

roughly 8GB

yeah my GTX580 and i7-2600k runs it well on medium. At least until there's too much shit on the screen then it takes a dip

Does that mean they'll port it to Linux now.

So does this mean I'm a huge schmuck for buying it during the autumn sale?

Freedom wins again.

Fuck off Denuvo.

Do we have some numbers now if pirating affects sales?

They removed it because it was bypassed dumbass.

id is still based no matter what Bethesda is doing to them as a company

I pirated it ages ago

>thinking you can beat pirates
top kek. just stop embarrassing yourselves

That's the joke.

id isn't 'based' for wanting their money back

>Ironically enough all Denuvo games have been major flops in both sales and performance though.
>All
Yeah MGSV, and Doom sure were huge flops let me tell you.

I want to buy Planet Coaster, but I don't want to reward Denuvo faggotry. so I'll wait until they either remove it, or it gets cracked.

Holy shit
Does it run on Linux/WINE now?

Wolf TNO runs beautifully on WINE so this should too right?

The public beta ran fine

They have to pay a cut of the profits iirc. I think it scales with revenue the game made. Note that I think that this and the refund sorta rumors. afaik there's nothing on there website.

Oh that's quite nice i wonder how big the update i-ELEVEN GIGABYTES?!

oh, yeah I forgot about that.
Since I am red team I want to see the wonders of Vulkan too. I'll check it out ASAP.

I have a poor man pc and the worst performance is in the foundry

Witcher 3 had zero protection and sold extremely well.

Dooms protection was bypassed very fast and also sold well.

yeah foundry fucked with my framerate too, still managed roughly 40fps when seeing it all at once but no matter how much I tweaked my settings I couldn't get it any higher

Of course these games wouldn't flop. They have huge as fuck names.

Now can we actually test and see if Denuvo effects performance? I would not accept losing a single frame of performance just so they can fuck around with the .exe non stop.

No.

Denuvo games have already been ported to Linux (such as Deus Ex MD)

If they wanted to do so they woukd have done it

However, Doom is an OpenGL game so it should run great through WINE, the new Wolfenstein games do

FYI its only your GPU thats holding you back

I have a Phenom II x4 but also a GTX 970 and I can full ultra the game at 110-120FPS

A-are we going to start seeing actual mods now?

you got a fucking problem with my engine

yeah I know, I'm trying to save for a new one but I'm a poor NEET and can only save ~$60 canadian each month

Did Denuvo actually actively slow down computers/the game?
Or was that just some random babble?

to some extent. people were ripping apart the game during the alpha phase and creating custom scenarios as the game was not denuvo protected then.

how much modding can happen without proper tools however, is yet to be seen.

Deux Ex was released on Linux without Denuvo.

They're the exceptions not the norm. MGSV still was a disappointment though.

n-no m-mr carmack just d-don't put me in a choke-hold

You can shove the entire engine up your old faggot ass.

Exactly.

My point is Denuvo isn't what's holding back linux releases.

Now that's it's been pretty much shown that Duenvo has minimal impact on sales, why are companies still paying millions to add it to their games?

I'm not saying piracy has no impact but they are paying through the nose to add this protection system and it's really not seeming to do much of anything.

That's some advanced kikery, this time it worked in our favor

Random babble afaik. The phoning home stuff is enough to get me to boycott it though.

I'm gonna treat you like my cat and send you downtown to fucking chinatown

Games that have Duenvo installed:
Watchdogs 2
Dishonored 2
Titanfall 2

Games thhat did not have it installed:
Watchdogs 1
Dishonored 1
Titanfall 1

Games that were flops
Watchdogs 2
Dishonored 2
Titanfall 2

If piracy has as much impact as they say why did the games sell so poorly?

The reported pricing is nowhere near a million. Hell, indie devs can afford it.

Good, I guess now we'll be able to make fucking ridiculous megaton mods out of this game now. Denuvo was the only thing preventing this shit.

Fuck yeah Bethesda. I guess they are actually growing a brain now.

Holy shit. My mom came into my room to bring me a plate of chicken nuggets and I literally screamed at her and hit the plate of chicken nuggets out of her hand. She started yelling and swearing at me and I slammed the door on her. I'm so distressed right now I don't know what to do. I didn't mean to do that to my mom but I'm literally in shock from the news this week. I feel like I'm going to explode. Why the fucking fuck is Denuvo cracked? This can't be happening. I'm having a fucking breakdown. I don't want to believe the world is so corrupt. I want a future to believe in. I want Denuvo to be perfect and fix this broken hobby. I cannot fucking deal with this right now. It wasn't supposed to be like this, I thought it was uncrackable???? This is so fucked.

What?

Titanfall 2 is doing very well

Actually it's been proven that Denuvo in fact negatively impacts sales.

Piracy is how the pc industry sells those overpriced system raping video games to idiots.
It's how they sell PC components to tards.
And if the games, the reason to buy those components, are all shit and or expensive then there's no reason to invest in either.

The day they create 100% bulletproof piracy is the day that the pc gaming industry dies and hardware sales screech to a halt.
Oh and windows will lose a lot of ground with the average jack and jill offs out there.

>I guess they are actually growing a brain now
I doubt it, if
is true then it just means they wanted their money back after denuvo failed them

Screencap this, when Dishonored 2 Denuve gets removed this board will be swarmed with Dishonored 2 threads "OMG GOTY CLOCKWORK MANSION OMG CRACK IN THE SLAB GOTY!"

Just like with RotR and DOOM first time it got cracked.

Kek this board is full of poor kids.

Yes, Titanfall is doing extrememly well. pls buy game, many sales, many, many players.

Just Cause 3 has yet to be cracked you subhuman

i am betting Denuvo getting greedy and ask for more protection money

Maybe because Just Cause 3 is fucking disaster and nobody bothers with cracking it?

Because piracy doesn't make or break sales. The value-added from DRM is marginal. Getting that extra ounce of sales. However, publishers aren't Palantir. I have to wonder how informed their inferences are to justify spending money on Denuvo.

>Now that's it's been pretty much shown that Duenvo has minimal impact on sales

>Actually it's been proven that Denuvo in fact negatively impacts sales.

i'd like to see numbers to back these claims up. in fact, i'm not even sure how you go about calculating the impact piracy/piracy protection has on a particular product unless you have access to parallel universes.

nobody cares about that game. it was instantly forgotten

TW warhammer is still not cracked shitlord

There's been statistics since years that prove piracy has a positive effect on sales.
Google is your friend in that regard.

No one cares about Total War since Napoleon.

it got its DRM removed too

Can someone test the updated version with Wine under Linux? If it works well, I'll happily purchase it.

How would you mod doom anyway? New models? Textures? Porn?

I think for Steam its arguable. I know literally no one who bought games for the PSP lol.

currently there's only 1 scene group cracking denuvo games. up until last week when they put out a proper release for MGSV their priority had been to do newer releases.

the mgs v release means they are willing to circle back and mop up so there's a chance they'll go back and do jc3. i have a feeling they'll want to do watch_dogs 2 however, since they still haven't cracked a denuvo+uplay game.

I doubt it's going to get HDOOM attention, sorry user

Denuvo didnt even cause problems for doom that im aware of though

Meanwhile, GTA V has been cracked for years, yet there's still the DRM that prevents you from playing fucking OFFLINE SINGLEPLAYER WITHOUT A FUCKING INTERNET CONNECTION

Fucking pieces of shit at rockstar dont give a fuck about the PC community

no it didn't

unless you mean the linux release

A better map editor.

Just wait for some autist to come along to make a huge modpack, and porn maybe.

>tfw no doomuc mod
shit sucks man

>demonsteele in D44M
mfw it will never happen

How is allowing a refund kikery, fucking retard

Rename this image "No Heroes Left"

>Kek this board is full of poor kids.

More like this board is fill with stingy kids.

Warhammer is their most popular TW to date, though.

Doom gal mod and hearing her moans as she decimate monsters.
