>Nakamura initially talked about people already finishing the game for speed run, but he's one of those people that wants to do all the sub quests and stuff which takes alot of time
>that been said, he said that he has something to complain about, he's not gonna forgive who ever made chapter 13.

What is chapter 13? Is it like having a 13th floor on an elevator?
No, I will be the one who becomes a hero!
you are basically stripped away from your power and other 3 comrades. The game forces you to navigate corridors after corridors for 2 hours, and you have to hide enemies if you don't want to use your new shitty power. There are also lots of jump scares for no reasons as well.
>This dungeon is so long!
>I don't have money to buy pots!
>It's so hard!
Nice clickbait thread OP
while chapter 13 is a fucking drag and nightmare to play it actually success at what it set out to do, the emotional impact.
when Ignis and Gladiolus came to help me i was so happy that the nightmare has ended my bros are with me nothing can beat us now. which is excatly what Adryn tell you.
chapter 13 is definitely "that part" of FFXV
>hide enemies
Wait, what?
Doors open up Mass Effect style with a 2 second delay and immediately close.
You can't quick-save anywhere.
You can't wrap throw yourself to move fast, you can't even run. In fact you move so slow that it's actually faster to spam roll.
Enemies constantly grab you and force you into QuickTime events that you cannot avoid, gets tiring after the 20th time and not longer become spooky as they intended.
One of the characters has a huge reveal that literally had zero foreshadowing and serves no purpose to the narrative besides giving him some shred of an arc because everyone else had one.
Did I mention hallways?
There seems to be a lot of confusion regarding the identity of Ardyn, so I'll clear it up now.
He is the very first king of Lucis and the very first in the line with astral blood. Their powers are hereditary and in not derived from the crystal, the crystal only gives it a boost. Proof of this astral connection: When Noctis summons the kings in the last confrontation his eyes turn red, signifying that they are astrals. The thing in Regis' head is not an ornament, it's a horn that grew as a result of overuse of his powers. The veins on that side of his face are crystallized. When the kings invoke their powers shards of crystals appear in the air, similar to when the six invoke their powers. In addition there's the legend, at the end of the journey and after the king banishes the daemons he will ascend to become a true astral.
Also the name Izunia has no connection to the king of Lucis at the time, the king always has the name "Lucis". Izunia literally just means "my god is an oath", while Lucis Caelum means Light Warrior. Ardyn abandoning the name symbolizes him abandoning true calling to pursue a promise, most likely to the original holder of the name. The king in waiting was Ardyn's son and the one who betrayed him, backed by Bahamut who rejected Ardyn due to his impure body. Which in turn lead to Ardyn no longer being able to keep the daemons at bay and caused his transformation into one.
Just beat it five minutes ago.
This marks the first Final Fantasy in which, when everything was wrapped up and done with, I felt little to no emotion about the events of the game. The only moment in the game which made me kind of sad was when Ardyn died outside the citadel. Noctis was a boring, underdeveloped main character, so his opening up to his friends mid-credits felt like something rehearsed and necessary to the game's vision - not like a culmination of friendship and brotherhood as it is supposed to be. The Noctis/Luna relationship was empty. The father/son relationship was empty. The Niflheim side-plot (under the guise of the main plotline for the first 12 chapters) was a wasteland of unexplored branches and unused ideas. Altogether, this is hands down the most poorly told story in the Final Fantasy legacy - albeit I haven't played any of the XIII games - with the worst final boss fights and worst final levels in the series. 3.5/10 there.
Chapters 1-9 were fun-ish. Exploring and just living in the world was comfortable, genuine, and at times, breathtaking. Fishing, watching fun stuff get cooked, and taking in the landscapes was all spot-on. Combat was all style and no substance, leading to the well-designed dungeons being trials of frustration rather than skill. 7/10 there.
On an aesthetic level - what seems to be all that remains of Nomura's vision - the game shines. The summon designs, music, and world are all delightful. 9/10
Once the putrid aftertaste of the game's final chapters fades, memories of the game's cozy, pleasantly meandering second act will hopefully shine the brightest.
It suddenly became Resident Evil all of sudden. You can still fight the enemies but they became a pain in the ass later on.

1-9 was definitely alright despite the fetch quests. Though it looked like they ran out of time by chapter 9 and it shows because there is literally no side quest in the city besides Colosseum.
tl;dr
I FUCKING HATE JUMP SCARE, WHY IN A FINAL FANTASY GAME??
Is this from the piggyback guide?
After watching this I think I should apologize with Final Fantasy XIII.
But why are you hiding the enemies? And who or what are you hiding the enemies from?
Less of a jump scare and more of a """""jump scare"""""
Your power was taken away due to a magical plot device, so you cannot summon swords and fight the enemy, thus you have to hide or otherwise you have to enter this super weird combat mode. Again, you can fight them but it's a pain. Watch the video at 30m6s to see what I'm talking about.
Oh, you mean hide FROM the enemies. I thought you were saying to hide the enemies themselves.
