But Knack is a beloved game.

It was challenging before challenging became cool and people hated the game because it was "too hard" but now they can't get enough of the "too hard" meme.

Knack was ahead of it's time.

This is how we know that shit posting has in fact gone too far. We ironically talked about it for years and Sony mistook that for genuine interest in a sequel.

Wasn't Knack supposed to be Sony's way of trying to get people to forget about Crash, especially since all the media kept hyping it up as "Crash's spiritual successor"? Why the fuck are they making a sequel to such an underwhelming game when the real deal is finally coming back?

Its existence is unnecessary since its core gameplay is already covered by Lego brawlers. Plus it's not like any of its characters or designs were especially endearing, the protagonist was crafted solely to show off all the particles and shit the PS4 could pull off.

And it didn't even do that properly since the game ran like ass.

I kinda liked the first one. Enough to beat it twice, but then again, it was only 8 bucks on PSN. So, pretty good for the price.
I was expecting them to vastly improve on the game but I watched the new video, and it looks exactly the same just with a tacked on co op.

Why did Sony let him work on the Pro after the reception of Knack and it's performance on the original PS4?

You expect Sony to learn when their system still sold gangbusters?

I feel like Knack 2 is in the strangest place, there's clearly a vacant kids market if you don't own Nintendo consoles and don't want to be stuck buying Skylanders/Lego Dimensions which basically have your kid crying for you to be buying them more toy expansions and the first game did well with millions of sales
But at the same time, the general market isn't interested, the first game was mediocrity and even fixing the problems won't change the fact that Knack isn't a household name or an icon of gaming, it was just a game built around showing off PS4's power
I would love for Knack 2 to be a great game but I feel like it will just be slightly less mediocre Knack
