This is the most aesthetic and ergonomic video game controller of all time.
You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like.

You're clearly in love with the thing, why don't you buy the 150$ Elite version, goym?
>aesthetic
Sure
>ergonomic
No, I still prefer the way the 360 controller feels in my hands. The bone controller has better sticks though.
I hear it has a lot of problems when it comes to using it on PC. I wouldn't mind grabbing one since it's dirt-cheap at retail stores and Target usually sells it 10% cheaper with the cartwheel thing every month or two.
IF YOU LOVE IT SO MUCH WHY DON'T YOU MARRY IT
>the vibrating motors in the triggers
is it better than the second revision?
w10 works out of the box with a micro usb cable, also with bluetooth
dunno about 8
w7 requires digging around in the internet to find a driver but then it works perfectly with a micro usb cable
That's not the ASCII GCN controller.
used to be, not anymore since MS made drivers for windows 7/8 wired and wireless. the big fuck you is having to buy the usb dongle which is roughly the size of an xbox hueg and blocks adjacent ports but it comes with extender. retarded design
black border around the xbox logo = no bluetooth. this doesn't matter unless you want to play on tablets or windows 10 without needing the dongle, so no not really.
is it actually better than the 360 controller? that's been my staple pc/emulator controller since 2006, never liked the way dualshock etc felt and nintendo always just went weird, but the d-pad has always been kind of finnicky
almost no games use them.
The 360 sticks feel like shit after using the Bone's controller, especially if it's an older 360 controller.
the d-pad has microswitches which makes it better than 360 for modern games that aren't 2D, for instance switching items in dark souls. for emulating stuff or 2D games that need a d-pad, it's still pretty bad.
Wasn't there also problems with the cable and port fucking up within 5 months or so?
do any pc games use it? im not gonna buy an xbone anytime soon
Considering the DS4 is now a standard controller through Steam by default and customizable like the SC, anyone still prefer the Xbone controller over it?
Same-y to me.
I think I do prefer the 360 a little more since I have been using it for like 10-11 years now, compared to the 2-3 with the xone.
Don't expect huge significant changes or improvements, just small issues like the mushy dpad on the 360 being better.
a yo hol up, can I use wireless though? I probably have to buy some generic bluetooth adapter and install SCP right?
any of the recent play anywhere titles (forza horizon 3, gears 4, halo 5 forge) work
feels awesome in fh3
>he still uses SCP
For me it is the Buffalo McChicken
Fuck off shill, the Xbone controller is a cheaply made, flimsy piece of shit.
No, I don't, because I don't own a piece of shit DS4 and only use it when I have to at a buddy's house for fightan. I use xbone on pc because it's better. Suck a cock you sonygger piece of shit and get a real controller.
The shoulder buttons didn't feel right the last I tried one. The rumble in the triggers sounds cool, though.
Is it worth forking out the extra 80 bucks for the xbox elite?
Once I discovered the true powah of those I turned off the HUD completely in Forza and drove/shifted by feel of the vibration and sound alone. It works pretty damn well.
only if you can't claw grip and need the back buttons. are you playing single player games with a controller and not kbm?
Playing mostly singleplayer but planning to play some SFV with it. I don't claw and the back buttons seemingly i won't need.
You know, I told myself that DS3 was the best for PC for a long ass time. Then I got the Wii U Pro and got it working on PC, and felt it was the best option before realizing that it's really just a knockoff of the 360 controller but with the worst triggers of all time, all while microsoft put out the even better xbone pad.
Seriously, nintendo had a good thing going until they made those digital triggers. At least they still win for d-pad for me
Inthought the plus d-pad was patented?!
How did they get a + d-pad??????????
I've been using it for two weeks. It feels great with Resident Evil 4, God Hand, Monky Dong Returns. I haven't used it with newer games though, but I assume it works.
It doesn't feel good with 2ds platformers such as Shantae and Kero Blaster. My hands are somewhat small and the Dpad is too far away, plus it's too clicky for my taste.
What I like: it's got bluetooth and shit.
It works.
Pretty comfortable.
If your batteries die out you can switch them and continue masturbating.
What I dislike: you need to have w10 in order to use it wirelessly.
After some researching I finally managed to make it rumble wirelessly. I don't know if I did something wrong the first time. 5/10 instructions.
patents last 20 years user
wait so is the d-pad overall better or worse for oldschool applications (primary method of input for platformers etc) than the 360? mine always felt too mushy yet hard to press in certain direction, and impossible to hit diagonals consistently
better than 360 yeah, but both are bad. get a wii u pro, a ds3, a buffalo snes pad, pretty much anything.
Its good but i prefer the 360 controller. Definitely the second best controller though
The Xbone controller's D-pad is at least designed so you can accurately hit the direction you want everything time, but it's stiff and clicky and clearly meant for menu navigation or weapon switching, not for 2D movement.
I use an Elite for 3D games and an 8bitdo Snes controller for 2D.
