Playing on normal right now but it seems kinda easy, but when we change to hard it's simply too hard. One-hit-kill and enemies soak the damage forever.
Do we have to replay from the start to gain the weapons needed or do we need to finish the entire game to gain enough armor?
What I'm asking is, game is too easy, what do we have to do to play on harder without getting raped?
Tyler Wright
Hard is perfect for first playthrough.
Jackson Lewis
No. >Play mission 2 on harder difficulties >get high lvl weapons >go to hard >play through the game
Cameron Gonzalez
you supposed to pick up the boxes and play in 4 player coop
Christian Price
>what do we have to do to play on harder without getting raped? You have to fight like you're saving your mother earth from any alien attack
Lincoln Watson
That's what I thought.
We will try that.
I know to pick up all the armor and weapons.
Are we doomed even if we are highly skilled 2 players in the end though? What fucks you over?
Carson Hill
It's doable.
Jeremiah Ramirez
Good.
I'm kinda focusing on the air raider though.
Is that a mistake for 2 player coop? I feel like I'm not doing enough damage outside a vehicle, waiting for cooldowns.
Kayden Jenkins
I wouldn't use Air Raider with two players on my first time.
Jonathan Taylor
Anyone up for a lobby?
Isaac Jenkins
Air Raider is fine for two players and even almost okay solo. You do gotta rely on the vehicles though so some missions will fuck you.
Jonathan Rogers
That's what I've noticed, once I run out of vehicle and I don't have it off cooldown, I'm useless.
I'm guessing ranger is better for me? He just doesn't have a larger variety of air strikes, but still the same vehicles and more weapons?
Cameron Cox
Inferno is possible solo.
The game is actually designed around progression. Lower difficulties on early levels give 0-4 lvl weapons Lower difficulties on later levels give 0-20ish Medium difficulties on early levels give 20-30ish Medium difficulties on later levels give 30-45ish Hard difficulties on early levels give 40ish Hard difficulties on later levels give 40-60 Inferno is where is endgame weapons are, because it's the endgame difficulty.
The way the health pickups work is you are supposed to play through the game on easier difficulties which should land you with enough health for the next tier of difficulty
Starting out on hard is difficult because you have no weapon unlocks or health, but you can be cautious and get decent weapons as a reward for the risk
James Harris
Air raider is the only one that can call in air support, vehicles and strikes. Ranger is just an average soldier, he has rifles, shotguns, rocket launchers, grenades and sniper rifles, among other things.

>play few missions on Normal with friends and figure out it's too easy >play some missions on Hard before hitting that mission with a shitton of Hectors from all sides and get stuck on that >might as well play few previous missions on Very Hard to get better weapons in the meanwhile >our group ends up sticking with Very Hard for future all missions as well >now stuck on Very Hard mission 61, every one of us with first timer characters I really wish the game multiplied armor gains on higher difficulties and that they'd be universal across characters, as the max armor restrictions on missions are ludicrously high anyways. I have like 500ish armor when the limit is in fucking 6000. Being killed by a sneeze sometimes feels like you're constantly hitting your head against a brick wall, and lower difficulties impose no-fun-allowed weapon restrictions and have shitty loot.
Connor Lee
Duplicate weapons should give bonus armor. I feel so frustrated when I see the mission result and there are a gorillion of them.
William Baker
the point of the game is to play through every difficulty due to armor grind
I was enjoying it at first with friends but it turned into korean mmo grindfest.
Michael Price
From vicious giant insects who have once again come back?
Matthew Perry
>was enjoying it at first with friends but it turned into korean mmo grindfest. Pretty much this. Played through all of normal, most of hard and like halfway through very hard with a friend and we gave up after getting stick and not getting any better equipment for a long time. Got really irritating getting level 0 weapons on very hard.
Justin Hughes
Kinda this. Amazing idea and pretty damn fun, but it got pretty old.
Hated how sp and mp progress are separate. If you don't have a buddy to play with or missed the first wave, some missions can be pretty hard to progress through. Also most of the missions felt like they would be won or lost based off the type of weapon you brought. Since you can mostly only carry two.... you'd have to replay 2-3 times sometimes to find the most effective. Which kinda sucks in multiplayer. And with how many filler weapons the game has that you will never want to waste a spot to use, it's kinda a missed opportunity.
Julian Stewart
Oh and the dlc just pissed me off. Why the fuck would you charge people for actual weapons they will outlevel in an hour? Why not use a skin system instead other than being fucking lazy.
