This kind of situation is what keeps me spending real money to revive. It feels really shit though, like now I'm just using money to pad my lack of skill. F2P is a curse

Game would be much better if it wasn't F2P and had the death system reworked. At higher floors, dying is super punishing if you don't have Death Metals, and it's super forgiving if you do.

Replace that with something better, then remove the raiding shit, the upgrade timers, and stupidly high level Haters and the game would be great.

At least he gets free merch and to be Legend.

Also, does the elevator get very expensive later on? I think it may be a problem if it reaches a point when you need dozens of gold

From what little time I spent with it, I liked it. Fast, did good damage, and it was one handed, so if it doesn't have a block, you could always use an iron, or a nail gun for a ranged option.

Yeah the elevator gets pricey, not as much as reviving your character on higher levels though

What are raids like? Are they just the invasions but focusing on a single area?

just grind lower levels, and mid bosses.
Also if you have any golden animals, eat them. They give around 1000 xp when you eat them.

Alright I've been trying to get into this game but every time I try I get overwhelmed by the sheer amount of shit going on right at the start. Can someone gimme a good quick start guide? I saved this post from another thread:

I've played maybe 8 hours so far. Important to do list for you:
Get to first sub-boss, then upgrade your bank
Create a character that is a collector. Run around side floors and get materials/ blueprints. I suggest 1 of each type of clothing and the hammer blueprint.
Move up and try to get the machete blueprint (I hear the broadsword one is good too, but I don't have it yet).
If you need money, go raid some empty bases for easy funds
Make sure you take quests and turn them in regularly

Nah. At +5 it evolves sorta, but requires higher tier material, but the gains are nice.

I've found the mid bosses pretty unfun in general. They're not impossibly hard or anything, but they feel like they were designed with killing the player in mind with them being fun being an afterthought. I'm only on floor 14 or 15, but the only mid boss that had anything interesting thing going on was COEN, and what mad him interesting is just a common gimmick for bosses anyway.

I seriously hope there's a way to listen to the radio songs in the tower at some point, seems like such a waste to leave them for the waiting room only.

Also, the girl characters in this game look cute in a lot of the clothes available, even though none of it is traditionally cute clothing, which I like even though I usually don't give a shit about dressing up characters, and I usually wouldn't even play as a girl character. The girl the furthest away is also the best one.

Me personally I always go hunting with the increased bag capacity guy. You can justify levelling him back up to 25 by exploring all those siderooms you haven't yet

No. Let it Die's playable characters work by tiers.
You start with a tier 1 generic class. Once you reach floor 4 you unlock the other tier 1 classes. Once you reach floor 11 you unlock tier 2 characters, with a max level of 50 and so on.

Wait for 2 stars. You get them all really quickly, so leveling a 1 star collector is kind of a waste of time.

Senpai is cringey as fuck, but apart from that, game is ok at best. When you start hitting past 20f you begin to lose motivation and the p2w scheme creeps up on you, making you grind through 1f to 5f to get 50k and shit.
