The wall of that pit is climbable. There's nothing at the bottom though, not even a medkit or anything.

They would change the main towns into Christmas wonderlands. Giant trees, lots of lights, and they'd play custom versions of famous songs. Toss in a few cool events like battling an Ice Queen, snowball fights, and changing into a snowman and man it was fun.

Absolutely. The story is a LOT lighter than Baldur's or Planescape, but your party is fully customizable from the ground up. You're not locked into being TNO or Bhaalspawn or whatever. The combat is also the BEST out of the three of them, that's where the game shines the most.
