Yes, even the worst one, Partners in Time is still pretty good.
The last 2, Paper Jam and Dream Team have the weakest writing but best combat, just letting you know.

It was worse in Dream Team and Paper Jam lets you skip them.

Played the Superstar Saga for the first this week. It's definitely good but I don't think it's on the same level as the good Paper Marios.

Well since you obviously care more about writing than gameplay don't bother with the follow ups, writing drops in quality.

It was the annoying parts of the gameplay that made it worse for me. Those block-hitting mini-games or the getting Luigi to hold Mario in place between the rolling spikes on the conveyor belts.

Why would you play a video game then?

First one is perfect, literally a 10/10 game and one of the comfiest JRPGs I played.

The others are good but they never reached the same quality level of the first game.
