Winter Sale Thread

Steam sale? Steam sale.

What are you buying anons

I bought

>Rainbow Six Siege
>Hitman: Blood Money
>Deadly Premonition: Director's Cut

So far I've bought

>Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds
>Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy
>Recettear An Item Shop's Tale
>Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster
>Killer Is Dead

I'm on the fence with Siege. It looks really fun but it's slightly out of my budget and I'm playing on a toaster so I don't know if it'll run. I also have no friends.

Can you recommend it to me or should I fix some of those issues first?

Any of these worth?
I never played a Gothic game, but I've played Risen and found it fun, and I heard that Gothic 2 is the best. Should I buy it?

/r/ing good games going for 80 percent or more off. I especially love first person games and 2D sidescrollers, like metroidvanias.

I can't speak on it much. I played the beta last year on PS4 and it was fun. A few months ago I built my first PC and I bought it while on sale because one of my friends is constantly asking me to play with him. All I did after buying it was some of the training and I got my shit rekt by the AI.

As far as your computer, I'm not sure how demanding this game can be, but you definitely want something that can run it well since it is a tactical FPS. I think you can get around the no friends thing as long as you communicate with your team.

>80 percent or more off
That's a retarded request, set a price and i'll give you some recommendations.

I got this stuff (refunding Wasteland), I also got TESO from a friend, I also got This is the Police, Battle brothers, Darkest Dungeon, and the Otomo Clan DLC

Get gothic 1 too faggot

Will buy RE6 (mostly for mercenaries) and then trying to keep it under 35€ debating between:
Project Nimbus
Osiris: New Dawn
Xcom 2
Trillion God of Destruction
Resident Evil Revelations 2 (Is raid mode any good?)
Burnour Paradise
Hard West
Darksiders 2
System Shock 2 if anyone can explain the hype

I just want the best deals I can get so I don't ind up getting something I could've gotten any other time of year for only marginally less.

I guess though 6 dollars or less

I don't have enough time for 2 long rpgs, probably once I finish one there will be already another sale. Should I start with 1 or does it not mater?

This entire sale js pretty much the lowest prices from every sale this year

I bought

>GTA V
>Dark Souls III
>Witcher 3 Season Pass
>Sunless Sea
>Risk of Rain
>Mad Max

A hundred euros.

it doesn't

What's a game that will last me for a bit that's under 10 dollars?

Terraria or Sunless Sea

someone post the list.

Fuck what are some good games to pick up? I honestly don't even know what to get, and I don't see a category or something on Steam to see what games are on sale.

I have no idea what to buy.

Fallout 1 and 2

Subnautica is pretty cool

Yea Terraria is quite a bit of fun, it's pretty cool to play with friends.

How is the community as far as people playing? I remember playing the beta and the game was pretty fun, and it was easy enough to find people playing.

What kind of games do you like?

>The Forest
and that's about it.

FPS
Survival
Adventure
Action
Open World
RPG

I don't really mind much!

Are you enjoying it?

Should I get Valkyria Chronicles with my last 10 dollars?

So far I've bought
>Final Fantasy VII
>Final Fantasy IX

Are there anyother good JRPGS on Steam?

are there any decent sandbox games under 5$?

If you can stomach the way they look, Trails is apparently fucking fantastic, although it's much more story focused than the other two.

I bought momodora: riverie under the moonlight, the game has turned out to be pretty good.

haven't played it yet but - 12k players online/Very Positive reviews should be ok
and it's dirt cheap

door kickers is good, subnautica is ok, titan souls is ok, havent played the other 2.

terraria lasted me for 400+ hours, bought it for under 5$ 2 or 3 years ago. (they keep updating it btw)

The Forest is very good user, I love it. I would play it more often if I had someone to play it with.

Endless Space any good? Unsure about buying a game when the second one is already in EA, might go with Endless Legend instead. Really just want some slow, preferably turn-based games.

i bought environmental station alpha because im a sucker for metroidvanias.
not a big fan of the pixelshit but it works well enough

Hearts of Iron 4
Disgaea
Battlefleet Gothic
>tfw I can't afford booze now until next thursday when I get paid

I had about $20 + tax after refunding KF2 and buying Nitro Plus then sold some shit on the marketplace and came out ot about $28.

I bought Doom because its on sale.

How bad did I fuck up?

Do you pay steamtax?

Risk of Rain

>that feel when too poor to buy the $10 CS:GO

i have over 1000 hours in CS:S. always wanted to try GO. feels bad man.

You didn't fuck up at all, Doom is a pretty good game.

Help me choose one of these.

Also, can i play Darkest Dungeon in 2560x1440.

I got Age of Decadence and Defunct

AoD has weak UI, but I'm enjoying the way they present the fights/story. It is a turn based RPG.
Defunct looks about the polish of a college project by one dude. Barebones as fuck.

How is Tropico 5 compared to 4?
Is Xenonauts good?
What about Project CARS?

Go for Darkest Dungeon or maybe Alien Isolation.
Vermintide needs a good group of people to play with, or an understanding of how to play.
Far Cry 4 is relatively dull, compared to FC3 and BD.
Last I heard of Starbound, it was mostly unfinished.

im not sure but i think vermintide is dead. check to see if people are still posting in the community often.

What game would you get next? I bought Prison Arch, and some other indie game.

Also would anons kindly would like to donate their trading cards? I'm trying to scrap cents over here, i need a dollar more to get talos

Thanks anons ;-; if not i'll find some other way aside from doing the card voting, and queues everyday until the sale ends.

I've got $20, any RPG recommendations, preferably not an SRPG? Already have Dragon's Dogma, New Vegas, and Dragon Age: Origins.

I'm debating the Shadowrun set, but any suggestions are welcome.

>finally purchase d44m

>80GB install

>mfw I bought a 120gb sd card just for my sale games

Is dungeon of the endless worth purchasing?

Skyrim w/ Dragonborn.
Morrowind.
Vampire Bloodlines.

Witcher 3.

thx

Is classic Half Life worth purchasing if I've already played HL Source?

What are some good plot heavy games? Not VN.

Is the Long Dark worth it? or i'm good with pathologic?

TES III
TES V
Glittermitten Grove Frog Fractions 2 and fairy village survival game
Hotline Miami 2
A Magical High School Girl
Shadow of Mordor
Shantae: Half-Genie Hero
Xmas Shooting - Scramble!!

HL source is shit, valve just lazily ported half life to source 12 years ago. Just play half life.

if anybody of you fags have friends you should totally buy Tabletop Simulator, best uno game i have played.

Nothing

Bought some DLC for EU4 and Attila, probably going to buy some more Strategy games later.

Any good cyberpunk games?

Is Valkyria Chronicles worth getting? Or is it a niche sort of game?

>want a single player action/FPS game to play until I go back to work on Tuesday
>literally none in the sale that are good and I don't already own

Need a new hobby

What should I buy

I'll tell you what I got so far:
Super House of Dead Ninjas
Ghost 1.0
Shantae and Pirate Curse
Shantae half-genie hero (gift to me from friend)
Nuclear Throne (gift + copy for me)
Lisa Bundle
One Way Heroics bundle
Axiom Verge
Subnautica
Metal Gear Rising Revengeance
Darkest Dungeon

Might grab AVGN:II, Zombie Night Terror or Death Road To Canada next.

Something low spec and unique to PC for my GPD Win (Atom z8700).

>friends

Got me Endless Legend. Shit is fucking awesome.

Shadowrun Dragonfall & Hong Kong

Can't think of anything else really.

This'll probably be it for me desu.

Mount and Blade

David Cage's about to make you his bitch.

>Daikatana
John Romero's about to make you his bitch ;^)

Did Shantae Half Genie Hero literally get released a few days ago? I swear that game has been out for a long time.

is it really that much different?

I actually like the game but I can't find disc 2 of my physical copy.

I bet they made boatloads from this tipline though.

anyone want to help an user out?

or at least recommend what i should get next?

thanks

see

That was probably pirates curse

Wasn't Omikron free at one point, around the time Bowie died?

What do you guys think? I may end up dropping something because $50 is kind of a lot for me.

>good game
>alright game
>great game
>great game
I like you user.

>Not having friends

Ah screw it.
Grabbed all three.

yes

>daikatana

Get gothic 1 and 2 on gog. Dont bother with 3

farcry4 is 6€ on kinguin

Someone recommend me a nice cozy co-op game I can play with my friends.

is axium verge worth 10 bucks?

sven coop

Ha, thanks.

Yeah I mostly play platformers and adventure games. One game I will recommend to you is Gurumin: A Monsterous Adventure

Should I get Trillion? Or what would be a better purchase?

is this like goys 2 adults?

magicka

3 is actually really good with the community patch

Wich one I buy: saints row 4 or Recettear?

I like it so far.
Beat two bosses, got some power ups. Very Metroid inspired. Not too hard though.

I'm playing it on my GPD Win also, and that thing is a toaster compared to most PCs, so it will run on virtually anything.
