Admit it, you've never beat Comix Zone
Admit it, you've never beat Comix Zone
You are right.
>Only way to get heals is by using the rat at specific random points
Nigga fuck you
Dude, I only played it for 5 minutes before my friend and I got stoned in his parents basement. It's an average game that is remembered mostly for it's aesthetic.
>stoner autist plays it for 5 minutes and thinks he can judge it
kys?
I have by savescumming, but I've never beaten it as the game originally intended.
Despite it being impossibly hard, it's still one of my favs for the Genesis.
But I had it on the Genesis and I did beat that shit.
using pic related.
Its a p cool game that gets surprisingly difficult for what it is.
Anyone play The Ooze? It was made by the same team and came out in the same year.
I also never beat Captain Claw without Cheats.
its a fucking amazing game retard
easily top 3 sega games
Did it back in '98 when I was 14, without any guides or external help beyond the guy who owned the game watching me play it (enjoyed it more than playing it himself).
It's just trial and error, you need to approach it as a puzzle game as well as a beat em up and take note of what you're doing wrong.
It shouldn't take you more than 10 tries max if you put any thought in it.
I did though, twice, for both endings.
it's true I haven't. tho to be fair it's really not a very good game. I would even go so far as to say it is actually quite bad
turbofag
What's with Sega and hard games?
Shinobi was brutal from what I remember and Phantasy Star was difficult at points too.
oops sorry. meant to quote the op.
Oh yeah, thanks for reminding me about that.
Was both frustrating and fun knowing you have to do it all again to get the optimal ending.
Lara croft rip off.
Yes I did.
But I didn't get the best ending.
back then difficulty was how they extended the life of games
Nope. Furthest I got was the Nepal level where it dead ends.
thats just a product of the era
shit was fucking hard in the 90s
>You'll never wake up in the 90s again
youtube.com
Even harder in the 80s.
Shit, the needless cluttered design and overcasualization of modern games is one of the reasons why I hardly play them anymore.
Here, have a recording straight from the source instead of shoddy emulation:

>get to end of first level
>that one hard as fuck pit jump
>die
>remove game and play the superior sonic
There's no brutal Shinobi game.
Shinobi 3 is probably one of the easiest games on the MD and IMO its only flaw is being too easy.
Actually most of Sega's output has ok difficulty. You must be used to those games where you just breeze without any danger (nintenshit).
I love the game but I personally wouldn't put in a top 10.
Good game.
Not as great as Comix Zone, but an underrated gem non the less.
Actually I did.
Got the bad ending, though.
Seconded. Many times. Even beat the shit out of the final boss without doing that thing where you could pull the switch to the nuke and blast him for cheap damage.
I did this. Also I like the idea of vector man, but it's really fucking boring.
I also never beat exo squad
I beat it alot but I had the six button
i did beat it
with savescumming
Tomb Raider came out an entire year before Comix Zone.
I never even beat the second level. And I actually own it on the Genesis.
Only beat it by savescumming in the Sonic Mega Collection.
I haven't but I've been meaning to, I have two carts of it on genesis cause one of them didn't work.
Also one of my favorite non sonic genesis soundtracks up there with Kid Chameleon

Ive noticed a lot of comix zone posting recently.
Calling it now, sequel, HD remake or something going to be announced soon, screenshot this.
Fucking shilling on this board is disgusting.
It's been escalating, a carry over from /vr/ and I think a popular game because everyone hs been getting more nostalgic for the 90s these days than usual, and this game epitomizes the 90s.
But if I'm wrong, I hope it's shilling. I'd love a well made sequel or a HD remake. About as much as pic related.
I just come here to talk and get away from shit. Will you corporate manhandlers please just let me have me that.
I wish I was sucking that sweet proverbial Sega Technical Institute teet, then I'd get all them Sega of America bucks.
I did, earlier this year, without save states or cheats. Took me about 2 days worth of practice.
Just got lucky and beat the kung fu boss in one cycle .
Kick him into his nails, catch him with a thrown knife as he recovers for a 2nd nail hit and then hit him with a super glove. No standing around waiting for him to shout about LUDO or Rudolph or whatever.
But I did beat it.
Pic related on the other...
Fuck that last level and fuck that useless password system.
Is there a more 90's game than this?
youtube.com
>attacking anything lowers your health
What did they mean by this
beat it many times in less than 10 min. It wasn't even that hard
okay, i admit it!
wow, really takes me back
Shame this game had to suffer by being released so late into the Genesis' lifespan, it was fucking rad
Not only this, but Ristar and Vectorman too.
