I don't know that that's what he was getting at. Just that it's very fantasy but also very realistic, it doesn't exaggerate much and things outside of magic are very grounded. There are rules and such to the world that are held true throughout. Dragon Quest on the other hand does silly things and takes liberties with the world and doesn't do things very seriously, there isn't really a hardline order to things just cartoony broad strokes.
