Getting a fanbase is hard. I can consistently get 30+ views a video (which I think is really good for being a newish channel) and some are going to 100+ but it seems like a total crapshoot what gets traction.

I've thought about it occasionally. At most I'd just make reviews/showcases of sort of old games I played when I was younger. Nothing terribly bad, obscure, or weird, just generic games.

I'm kind of wondering what I need to do. I do modern games but not near enough to release date to be relevant.
I'm considering changing my format up to be more analysis and professional (it's been more of a video-blog so far) and focusing on guides.
Drakengard has been popular with Nier:Automata lately and I was considering doing some guides for it, mostly the weapon unlocks. A video for unlocking all the weapons of a certain type (swords, hammers, etc)
Then things like general quickstart information for getting started in games.
