Overwatch matchmaking

So me and my friend just got overwatch and are both level 16, but we keep getting put with super high level players. Why? We do pretty good but it's unfair when we get put in a game with players that have multiple stars. (What do you call that, is it called prestige?) But why is this happening?

Play ranked I guess

Because quickmatch isn't supposed to be even

You're too good for lower level players. Matchmaking is working just as intended.

Gotta be level 25

overwatch doesnt really have a prestige, although if it did it would be at 601, not 101.

Yeah but I get anal raped by the super high players

just ow's matchmaking, if you play 15 levels and randomly destroy teams with your friend, you'll get a crazy high 'hidden ranking' or whatever, i'm like 3 stars or something and solo comp around 2.2k or something, but when i play comp i shit over people, but in quick play i'm always consistently matches with 2.8-3.5k and randomly get shit on by the people that group

so my hidden mmr is probably around 2.8-3.2k or something

whenever i see a low level they're usually a pretty easy to spot smurf

easiest way to tell your hidden matchmaking thing is to just look at the people you play against and more or less average their comp rank out in your head for a few games

Level doesn't dictate skill - just time played.

Why is she still labeled as a Support?

What do you mean by 2.8 to 3.5 k?

Get to level 25 and start doing competitive and find out user!

Few players, only the hardcore left.

QP doesn't give a shit. I've played with and against super autists who have prestiged five (5) times despite being only level 80.

This. Quick play doesn't really matter at all. Anything goes even if the matchmaking goes bonkers. I've had an opposing team who were just Widows because they just wanted to snipe shit and didn't care about throwing the match.

QP is completely randomized matchmaking. Priority is more likely given to players closer to you instead of players around your level.

Practice more then you retarded faggot. Arcade mode is there for a reason. If you can't even do well in arcade mode (especially random heroes which gives the best basis for learning characters) then just grind out training until you grasp what each hero does.
Stop fucking whining about it being other people's fault when you're trying to do actual games with 0 playtime.

>we keep getting put with super high level players
>super high level players
Those numbers only show how much time someone has spent playing the game, not their skill level. /thread
