Is there a better online rpg coop/mmo?
maybe if youre lucky GW will be reborn as a moba where you buy microtransaction card packs to get abilities
please dont give them ideas
That actually sounds more fun than either Guild Wars right now.
And to make it clear, I'm not shitting on GW1, I love it and it was a great game. But since all forms of PvP are dead and I have utterly decimated all forms of PvE years ago, there is absolutely no way I can play the game again.
I have every existing armor set for my assassin as well as every skill in the entire game on him. There's just nothing left for me to fucking do besides PvP, which I would love to do. Jade Quarry, Alliance Battles, Random Arena... That shit is a full game for me and more right there but it's all dead. I can't change that.
You could do all pve solo anyway, especially after north expack and heroes
How did they ruined it?
I can do the PvE again, I just don't want to. I've already done it multiple times on multiple characters years ago. All of it.
The way to keep games like this alive long term is PvP, unless you're continuously adding new content (which they are not). My point is that I can't enjoy GW1 again because there is no new PvE content and hasn't been since EotN, and PvP is dead.
Guild Wars 2 is fucking shit. I can't convince a god damn soul to play the game with me. I got my old GW1 buddy who I met 11 fucking years ago to play the game with me for the last week or two since I reinstalled after uninstalling about four years ago. I bought HoT and went in with a friend with high hopes, its been years right? Maybe they fixed it?
Its fucking terrible. Its grinding for the ability to grind something else that you need to grind something else. Its all 1 mashing, boring, inconsequential garbage. I can't WvW with my friends. Cant play Living Story without paying more. GW2 is still shit
it gets lonely
I play GW daily, top fun.
Currently running Mes PC, with heroes: 2 ESurge Mes, Ineptitude Mes with Earth wards, Soul Twist rit with resto spot heals, UA necro minion bomb with prots, Channeling/resto necro with BiP, and Glimmer of Light Monk with mimic.
Vanquishing has never been more fun. Pulling mobs into minion wall and dropping 4x Chaos Storms for >100 armor-ignoring damage per sec, then throw out 3 E-Surges, an Ineptitude, and Ancestors Rage. There's a point about 2 seconds into Chaos Storm, just before mobs are about to scatter, that they all lose about 2/3 their health bar (on top of the damage CS did). Stragglers get mopped up with Aneurysms for 100-200 damage (70 if melee class, 300+ if eles) which also allows for more followup E-Surge decimation.
Truly a game for patricians.
So you can't enjoy any old game?
Sucks to be you
>So you can't enjoy any old game?
No. You just made that up. I've played GW1 for over four thousand hours already. I checked with /age just a few days ago. And as I said, if the PvP wasn't dead and I could play it now I would be quite happy to go and do that. So no, I can't enjoy the game anymore after 167 days of it, when a large chunk of the content (RA, AB, Guild Wars, FA, etc) is removed from the game because there's nobody to play against.
vanq is surprisingly fun. First time doing it I was in the death penalty constantly getting raped left and right, barely cleared the map. Fixed my shit and I got to really nice speed and efficiency and could try diffrernet skill variations.
While I wait for the support to read my ticket and restore my password, should I play original campaign or nightfall? I remember it was impossible to do everything solo in the first zone before it was burned, did they fixed it somehow after playerbase declined?
And is it possible to not play as a nigger in the nightfall?
>he never replays single player games
Sucks to be you
I suggest you look somewhere in your soul to find that breadcrumb of enjoyment for the one of the most dynamic skill systems of any RPG to date and play it again in the next few years, rather than letting belated nostalgia finding its way to you many more years later than that at a point in time when you can't replay it anymore because they've turned the service off.
And don't try to put some bravado front on like you know for absolute certainty you don't want to ever touch PvE Guild Wars again. That certain sense of fondness and longing creeps up on you out of nowhere.
Personally my break was about four years (2011-2015) and a dozen RPGs with totally lackluster skill systems.
You'll have a negroid facial structure no matter what you do but your skin does not have to be black. I don't remember the hairstyle options but I imagine most of them are black too.
To be honest, I'm happy they have more black options. Almost no games do. What bothers me is that there are campaign exclusive classes. Your assassin/rit has to look asian and your derv/paragon has to look black or like some kind of albino.
just play them in chronological order.
I installed Guild Wars and played it for the first time in five years this week. If the desire to play the games PvE is ever going to come back, it would have done it by now.
I don't know how many more times I need to repeat myself to you, but its obvious you're not listening. I would love to play GWs PvP again. I can't.
>he never replays single player games
I already said I played it for over four thousand hours nigga. How many times can you replay the same game over and over and over again ad nauseam? I love Guild Wars but there's a limit.
I prefer the pacing of Nightfall. Prophecies is just slow all around, the solution being to skip large portions of it. Of course you can't skip NF content and you have to do it eventually, so you might as well bang out it first anyway even if you don't enjoy it. It also opens up 8-man content much sooner and you'll get your heroes more immediately. And the missions are more interesting/condensed.
Most people just don't like NF because of noob island. If you take every quest along the way you level up much faster thus allowing you to complete your prerequisite Sunspear rank/minimum level quests that much sooner.
>Got GW 1 for Christmas 2005
>Leave Presearing and find Ascalon covered in snow
>Manage to get to Lions Arch in time for the hat giveaway on new years
The nostalgia is real. I played W/Mo for ages until they changed Hundred Blades and then I made a kick ass W/A AoE build.
>If the desire to play the games PvE is ever going to come back, it would have done it by now.
And what I'm saying is, time makes fools of us all. Five years is not very long. Do you throw out all of your five-year-old games? Have you never went back to replay a game ten years later? Fifteen? Sweet summer child, GW won't be there forever. You have an opportunity. I'm not sayingto recognize it today, but in the next few years if anything else, because i don't expect them to keep this game operating in the next 5-10 years, and one day even further than that, nostalgia WILL creep up on you. Stop living in three-and-a-half minute increments.
I hated my elementary school. Twenty years later, I want to visit it again for old time's sake. FONDNESS, LONGING. These are feelings all people experience over something at some point in their lives. And there won't be another Guild Wars-tier game for you to play when it des creep up on you. RPG makers are not that ambitious anymore.
Does anyone with Eotn wanna let me borrow their account? I am not shilling $20 just to play Eotn. It has never dropped price even when gw2 launched.
It's £10 on Steam.
Dude that's three hours of work if you make minimum wage. Come on son.
mmo gamers market pls go and stay go
They get in dead characters into Jade Quarry or some shit so that the opposite teams always wins.
It's the Chinks, they be selling fucking gold again
not a kid anymore, don't have time for that shit. The most hours I put this year into one game was 170 hours...I could do that in a month playing gw1
I feel the pain my dude
wow I just went to JQ and a match started.
