Why is this hailed as the worst Final Fantasy? I honesty can't see why, it's not better or worse than any of the others. Sure it has its flaws, but I find it to be AT LEAST a high 7/10. Where does all of the hate stem from?

Nigga you're tripping, specifically with VA. I couldn't take anyone but Sazh even remotely seriously because their VA was so exaggerated. I guess it just shows melodramatic style of Japanese anime VA just doesn't work when you run with it in English. Too much gasping to fill the dead air, dramatic pauses that last just a tad too long, etc.

13 is far better than 8 and much better than 1-4. Can't hold a candle to 7,9-15. If it were more open and not a fucking hallway do you can actually take part in all the side stuff then it would have been far better praised. Story was better than most

There is no need to backtrack. Ever. And it's pretty hard for your character to die, what with infinite MP and all. I would say this game is honestly the most complex and adult of the final fantasy games. The only thing wrong with it is that it's a slave to the story.
