what are some nice roguelites with perma upgrades like rogue legacy?
What are some nice roguelites with perma upgrades like rogue legacy?
Let it Die
What's the story behind this image anyway?
If they gots perma upgrades then they ain't that nice.
any fucking roguelite has that. even FTL and BoI have them in the form of unlockable characters.
if youre not playing a real roguelike game such as brogue then it fits that criteria.
>no reddit :'
Just some Deviantart memester.
I see, that's kinda boring.
Binding of Issac and Enter the Gungeon are good ones
Nah but for real, what ARE some nice roguelites with perma upgrades like rogue legacy?
Not OP, I just want to hear about some nice roguelites with perma upgrades like rogue legacy.
He deserved a higher score for technical skills. Bad teacher.
>nice
>roguelite
Just play Nethack or ToME
Nethacks interface makes Dwarf Fortress look like a point and click adventure, and ToME is like someone tried to make an MMO into a single player roguelike.
No ty.
>nethack's interface is bad
Confirmed for never trying Nethack.
I think unlockables to an extend can be a fun way to add replayability to a game, but perma upgrades are fucking cancer imo, it's actually one of the main reasons I didn't like Rogue Legacy that much because it undermines player skill and actually allows you to be lazy and just farm
Take Spelunky for instance, you start out and you fucking suck you die at a lot of little things, but then 15-30 hours later you're going to hell and you know exactly what to do, handling most situations, there's no upgrade that makes you start out with 10 health, or make your whip wreck everything in 1 hit, or start you out with a jetpack or a shotgun, because that would be fucking retarded, and you can even see afterwards how far you've come in terms of skill as a player
They were clearly projecting their politics onto their students works
Should literally be fired and banned from teaching
most people who accomplish anything notable are
>having to type out your commands like it's a fucking adventure game from the 80s
>good UI
user...... have YOU tried nethack??
>what is balance?
>typing out commands
Are you sure you weren't playing Trapquest? Everything in Nethack is done with single or double keystrokes. To drink a potion, you just press 'q' then press what potion you want to drink.
The only thing you ever type out are when you are naming objects.
>macroshit wangblows niggernet exploder 9

300% certain. What's the keystroke to jimmy open a chest with a dagger?
Alt-f
fug, wrong thing. I meant just opening a chest, which is #loot, now I look silly on the internet :(
Which is Alt+l, l, anyways
Th-that's THREE keystrokes! Fufufu, I win at last, user~!
