What is the best portable emulator around?
nes, snes, gbc, gba, mame, etc
you faggot.
Also Nvidia Shield K1
fat psp
There isn't one. All portable emulators are shit.
Prolly the PSP still. 3DS is also good (NES,SNES,GBC,GBA,GG). Phoneshit and computers can frick off please.
>not a vita for the godlike d-pad
why not just get the cheapest one if you are going to play shit games
Not Nvidia shield where you can attach any gamepad you like, ps3/4/xbone or whatever or buy pic related.
Unlike psp/vita shield can actually emulate dreamcast.
>Not the GPD Win when you have access to literally every windows game/emulators
N3DS runs snes perfectly unlike most emulators.
'5.5 its roughly half the size of Shield, why the fuck would I want that.
Because we're talking about portable emulator
your average run of the mill smartphone
I ordered one and it shipped but hasnt arrived after like a month so far
>no physical buttons
off yourself kid
Also.
>every windows game/emulators
The best emus wont work on it, some need ARM architecture also, best emulators are available for android.
>portable emulator
Portable emulator is not the one that fit you pocket and leave enough room for your micro dick in the pants.
For me portable emu is something I can play comfortably in the bus or waiting for a doctor, '10 screen is a major plus.
Although I noticed this GPD Win thing apparently emulates PS2 games which is surprising (not sure how well tho) and I still dont know how long battery holds.
PS2 emulation put it over shield for me but if battery hold longer as well then it actually might be good enough to ignore small screen size.
Never knew this existed, I'll look into it closer.
Just install physical buttons then..?
>GPD Win
Its quite capable and gets fiirmware updates all the time
just if you order it pay for shipping cause its coming all the way from china. Mine is taking for ever to arrive. I paid 320 for one on black friday
If I wanna play SNES games, which is the best emulating device? PSP don't emulate SNES good enough. 3DS?
If you get a 3ds for SNES games, it has a to be a N3DS, doesn't matter if it's XL or not
The New3DS (specifically the NEW 3ds) runs SNES with almost 1:1 precision. Just don't try to run games that needed extra hardware like the super fx chip, but homebrew emulators can probably pick up the slack on that
Any of you guys own a Shield? I was looking for a tablet for emulation stuff.
I sort of wanted to hold out till someone besides Google made a Tegra X1 tablet, but now I'm not so sure that'll even happen in the near future.
A laptop.
How does the GPDXD handle playstation, dreamcast, and n64?
Playstation fairly well, barely dreamcast, and n64 is as shitty as it is on other android systems
I cant use any of the portable emulator things similar to OPs since if I want to use an emulator, I want the advantages of speeding the game up and save states too.
That's dissapointing, my samsung galaxy s5 was able to handle all of those fairly decently except for dreamcast, and some psp games had slowdown.
The s7 and s6 processors are actually slower than the s5 which is why I never upgraded...
>This hardware is the best
>Its objectively not
>JUST FUNDAMENTALLY ALTER IT TO RESEMBLE SUPERIOR HARDWARE THEN...?
psvita
I thought the emulators on Vita didn't work very well? can I load any PS1 ISO onto a hacked Vita yet?
GPD WIN. Runners-up include GPD XD and JXD s7800 and s5800.
Playstation is excellent. N64 and Dreamcast still need a lot of work emulation-wise in general, but the games that are properly compatible run great.
