So I decided to replay DS2:SOFTS and I got to the Bastille and holy fucking shit.
>4 Dogs
>3 Archers shooting fire arrows
>The Pursuer
>All attacking you at the same time
>The archers are on wooden towers so you can't even kill them quickly
Am I missing something or were the designers being retarded on purpose?
This area in the bastille
>playing daspoo
kys
get good
stop locking onto targets to fight them and try playing the game properly
user you literally have no fucking idea how I am playing the game.
You can't unsarcastically sit there and really think that you can fight the pursuer, and 4 dogs, while there are arrows flying at you from three different sources.
Thats not a lock on issue.
knock down the platforms or fire arrows at the archers before going down there then?
go in the room to the right
Pull the dogs into the room where you come down the ladder. Then pull the Pursuer where the archers can't hit you. You can also skip this part if you don't want to fight the Pursuer.

apparently fucking awfully
the Pursuer is a fucking pushover who spams like 3 easy to dodge attacks
>casual filters
SotFS was a mistake
wew I actually got a little mad, nice bait
but i'm serious
>Play Ninja Gaiden
>In every fucking battle there's at least 8 niggers with boss tier movesets, speed and damage around you
>Don't care because i didn't start playing video games in 2011
I can't even remember if this "1vs1" me existed prior to the cancer that was DaS1.
Boo fucking Hoo OP, try leveling up your rudimentary situational awareness, multitasking and reaction skills. You can even break those fucking wooden platforms before ever stepping foot in that courtyard
The Pursuer is a pushover until you fight the two of them in the throne room on NG+. Then he becomes literally the most difficult fight in the game due to his bullshit homing curse missile spam.
*meme
I don't remember this encounter at all
In fact, I don't remember a pursuer in Lost Bastille, even on NG+
Is this SotFS?
Yeah, they make you fight him more then you do in the regular version. He appears several times in the bastille
I believe he also starts pre buffed in some areas. He's too easy in the regular version because the way he buffs himself is too easy to avoid, but when he's buffed he can do some nasty shit.
>pull the dogs and dispatch them
>aggro pursuer and hide, he will despawn (fight him later when you get better)
>knock down wooden towers and dispatch crossbowmen one at a time
how the fuck is this hard?
and this is why this game is considered the worst entry in the series, because people literally cant git gud
>aggro pursuer and hide, he will despawn
Except I don't want him to despawn. I want to kill him now.
You do realize that if he despawns you miss out on the souls and any drops he had.
>I deserve to get the things i'm not good enough to earn
when you reenter the area, he will spawn again
he will spawn indefinitely until you slay him
Same time? Wtf are you doing
It's not retarded design, you just need to git good
Nah ezpz
I got through that section pretty decently but I still don't understand the enemy placement changes. There are some that are just dump more enemies here that just makes everything tedious.
Not true this isn't the 1st one this is scholar there's tons of them and they come back
LOL was thinking the same
If you go from the back you can pull all the dogs and kill the first archer without spawning Pursuer and then you can line of sight the archer while fighting Pursuer in the corner.
Or you can git gud, stop being a pussy and play aggressively. Just wail on every dog that comes by they take like 1 hit each. If you run you'll get mobbed on and killed.
