Basically, it involves a game foregoing 99% of the gameplay to show off cinematics and "graphics" and trying to tell a story. If you took the gameplay out, the game doesn't change at all.

Open world turns good games into empty fields of filler where you can't do anything good because they emphasized the size of the map over actually letting you do something in it.
FFXV is also a good example of this.

Horizon sucks for two reasons. 1. They're emphasizing the story over actual gameplay quality. 2. They showed this by making it an open world game, where you have nothing to do but go to the next cutscene. No good gameplay whatsoever. Barely even any gameplay.

Take this one for instance. You can tell that the player isn't actually interacting with the game, save for one or two button prompts. It's essentially a cinematic tutorial showing you the graphics. They used this same trick in The Order 1886, so I'm capable of pointing out the details.
Maybe it just slipped.
But the second half of the trailer is gameplay of whoever plays the game fighting a robot, dodging attacks, switching weapons, picking up shit he shot of the robot he's fighting and shooting him with that. Also some sort of hiding or sneaking mechanic, jumping and running. So basically your source that the game is a movie has gameplay in it which invalidates your claim?
