The story in TLOU is one of the best in all of gaming, and is miles ahead of something like W3 because it is actually focused and doesn't rely on stupid gimmicks like world ending prophecies, chosen children of mary sue-ness and random plot devices like "sunstones".

Its character driven and focuses entirely almost entirely on the relationship Joel has to Ellie, instead of a billion different places that all end up saying "sorry bro, but your mary sue is in another distant location, hidden under 20 filler quests where you run from point A to B doing nothing worthy of note at all."

Fallout 3 has a better story, a better map, better quests, and much better atmosphere than New Vegas

New Vegas has more dialog, more paths, more items and perks but overall modded Fallout 3 is a better game.

How about once in my fucking lifetime, when faggots decide to make these shitty threads, they give some reasons for their unpopular fucking opinions.

There's nothing wrong with story-based games like Gone Home, The Stanley Parable, Her Story, That Dragon Cancer, etc. Even if I don't like some of them they encourage devs to be creative in how they tell stories using gameplay, and that's fine with me.

The only Souls game that is remotely unfair is Dark Souls II, which has a lot of bullshit enemy placement and lazy level design.

This is the only one i have a real problem with, here. If you're playing some shitty final fantasy or something, then sure, 30 fps will get the job done. But for anything requiring any sort of action or movement, 60fps should be the bare minimum standard.

not only that, but every ds game and specially ds1 can be beaten with no gear and sl1 if you have time and patience

The PS4 is actually a pretty good console

There's actually one floorboard in DaS1 that shatters the moment you step on it and it's not really any different from any other floor so you can only know about it once you've seen it shatter.
You lose about half your HP with the fall so it could fuck you over.

Dead Space 3 is better than Dead Space 1

W3 is the most overrated game ever made because it got over 250+ something awards on the simple basis that it had

I'm honestly excited for TLoU 2 and is the sole reason I haven't sold my PS4. Shit on it all you want Sup Forums, but you've gotta admit Naughty Dog makes sequels that are far, FAR superior to the originals.

Walking Simulators CAN be brilliant - however, they need interactivtiy.

I much prefer DS3 to DS1. If a game requires a horrible push just to get through the first few hours, I can't see it being a good game.

30 fps is fine. 60 should be an industry standard, but as someone who had to play game at 1fps on his shitty, shitty laptop for years, anything above that is fine. (it couldn't do the battles in the TW series)

Bioshock 1 is a shit game with a great twist. Bioshock Infinite is actually a good game with a solid narrative, even if some of it doesn't really make sense.

Dragon Warrior Monsters was better than Pokemon in every way when they both debuted, but Monsters had the unfortunate luck of coming out after Pokemon and never got the respect it deserved.

Monster Hunter needs to get the fuck off handhelds and onto a platform that can actually do the series justice. I'd prefer the PC obviously but even a console is preferable to squinting at the tiny as fuck DS screen and cramping my hands around the tiny as fuck controls it has.

I don't think this should really affect whether or not you should design bullshit into your game or not.
It's different from making a hidden, optional boss and making one major area most players wouldn't even expect to be optional.

I'm not sure but they've officially been thing ever since Sup Forums X added them first. That was at least 2013.

Playing FPS games with a controller takes more skill then with a mouse.

A mouse is much, much more accurately and intuitively usable for first person games to aim with: If you put a person who has never played a first person game on the controllers, they'll have no issue looking around even if they struggle with movement.

By contrast, however, if you put somebody on an analog stick, it takes them a while to get used to using the right amount of control to look and even expoierenced PC gamers reguarily complain how difficult it is to stay on target using an analog stick, even accounting for the fact those games use aim assist, which doesn't even make up for the inherent lesser inaccuracy of the analog stick, let alone make it easier then a mouse.

It's ok. The first disc is really good but it doesn't really hold up as much after.
