I wouldn't have minded the short length if the story was in any way coherent or developed.
It felt like they just threw a bunch of random characters and scenarios in there and said fuck it.

Production values, also they're a small team trying to push the HD 2D graphics rather than be stuck in 2001.
People keep saying the game looks like dogshit because it has flash art style but the result still looks great, the movements are articulated and the backgrounds are great. Not to mention the ambitiously scaled boss fights.
Do people really just want another game that looks exactly like pirate's curse?
