USE MAP SETTINGS Can we talk about which use map settings games you liked and did not like?
I really do not get footman frenzy or bunker wars at all. They seem like the dumbest shit in video games. they started out pretty cool until some retard started making it so all the upgrades cost 1 resource and you constantly got more resources all the time. so the game devolved into who could press their upgrade button the fastest. (or who could buy tombs the fastest in footman frenzy) absolutely brain dead game and it got incredibly popular, it blows my mind. Can someone tell me what the appeal to these games are?
Fuck I loved those maps. Never really played any normal battles against people, but I spent way too many hours on "use map settings" maps.
I remember playing mostly the PVE type maps, where you "leveled" up one super-soldier unit and fucked up the computer. Was it called Elite Forces or something like that? Also the endless variants like the DPZ sagas. The cat & mouse (& dog (& flea)) was also fun.
Then there were the ones where you had to navigate through an "obstacle course" of moving enemies, which kill you if they touch you. Not that fun with a shitty ping and input lag...

My top sc custom maps were >yugioh card thing where you had the 4 pads and could summon any monster with intricate combinations >temple of elements or whatever the fuck that thing was called >evolution wars or whatever that shit was called I don't remember very much other than that, but sc had some amazing custom maps, shame the filthy koreans took over and the only ones that are popular anymore are micro-grind gookclick trash.

Evolution maps where you constantly spawn units and the more kills you get the more they evolve. There was always a caveat though in that if you evolved to a shitty higher tier unit it would end up fucking you over.

those maps suck. I really hate massing games, they make no sense.
The maps i loved the most are RPGs. There are both Oblivion and Morrowind maps on it with very complex use of the overlord and the stuff it has inside as menu buttons. Other pretty good RPGs were Spellsword, and one of these days i played a final fantasy one that was pretty much impossible.

About eight years for me. I remember playing that nonstop the whole day. I main'd Uriel, and since we banned everyone who wasn't good at it, when the crew started to leave i had to learn a bit of Michael and Jesus. However i never became that good, all the good Hell's were already gone and now the game is pretty dead.
