I might've been underleveled. You also might've had a fire type which I didn't have. I had Oshawott and Turtwig. Maybe you weren't supposed to lose but if you lose the game isn't over or anything like that. Oh yah, Jirachi also had Wish or some shit so I remember it recovering like 300 HP or something.

I had Oshawott and Chespin. I remember using a few oran berries, but other than that it was just a standard boss fight for me.

Custom Robo pulled this shit. I kept trying and trying and eventually just stopped resetting and put it down.

Then 10 seconds later my bot got super deus ex machina charged and beat the boss in seconds in a second battle. Wasted a good hour on that.
