I know this isn't a controversial shitpost for an OP, so this'll slide fast, but I want a game where I play as a big bad evil dude or monster. Outside of Overlord there doesn't seem to be anything and I heard from Sup Forums that Tyranny was horrible.
What are today's options?

Typically devolves into exploding many times before you go on an interesting streak in the name of game balance. What stands out about RE6? I've never thought of Resident Evils for multiplayer.

just play war for the overworld, if you like dungeon keeper, this is THE dungeon keeper 3

RE6 has multiplayer versus modes that let you play as large BOWs, particularly Ustanak which is that games version of a Tyrant. It also has a Souls-like invasion system where you can invade other players singleplayer games and take control of a creature.
War for the Overworld or Dungeons 2? They seem to be direct competitors for that Dungeon Keeper 3 mantle.

It does? Why have I never noticed it?
The Overlord games were very fun and a nice twist on fantasy settings.
The only real 'bad' thing was how slow the overlord moved and his huge 'turning circle'.
Aside from that, its probably because of the stupid MULTIPLAYER spinoff that the series hasn't been revisited yet.
