The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

720p game, over a 720p stream, blown up to 1920x983.

>Why are these graphics so shit?!?!?

...

it's not just that, the trees are flat and there that washed-out ouptut the wii u suffers from makes it look like a muddy mess. But, to be fair, that was the worst shot of the entire 5-or-so hours of gameplay they put up, and the wii u colour output problem is easily resolved by increasing contrast and saturation on your screen source: I play XCX

neo v will defend this

>judging a game before it's out
Fuck all of Sup Forums, myself included

>being this retarded

>not fucking yourself

Is this a troll thread?

There's no way it looks that bad right?
That's PS2 tier graphics

>he dont know

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

how slow are you?
Seriously that move was shown off at E3 half a year ago, and only now it's being shitposted about out of context.

In short, Link did a parry at perfect timing, so get to use a sort of witch-time thing against the enemy as a reward.

>the meme becomes real

it has a decent render distance in the rest of the world so I assume this was done intentionally to make it look like a misty swamp; either that, or it's the wii u color problem again.

>wii u color problem again
>occurs only with this game

>occurs only with this game
see , it's noticeable in XCX, too.
As far as I'm aware, it happens in every game on Wii U, it's just not particularly noticeable since most are cartoony and very vibrant (perhaps to compensate for the issue?)

you can see here, for example, how washed out bayonetta looks on wii u when captured:
youtube.com/watch?v=xRZEFXE2zU4

as I mentioned earlier, though, you can easily workaround the issue via increasing saturation on your TV/monitor when playing (although there's no way to do this when playing on the gamepad)

the worst part is that when he dodges, instead of getting out of the way of the spear, the spear instantly changes direction so it doesnt hit him
and then there's a 5 second time slow with QTE button prompts

>>>/neogaf/

but neofag hate nintendo

why does it have this green fog filter what the fuck

no, look closer, the spear is knocked back by his shield - it's a parry. The "flurry rush" move is only triggered by a parry/counter.

It's the wild's breath

it's the wii u's washed-out hdmi and capture issue, combined with the soft pastel colors, that result in it looking so foggy. Footage of the game being recorded with a camera show it's a lot more vibrant when not in captured footage.

>green fog finally lifts when you beat the game
>"I guess we really were the breath of the wild"

I guess it all depends on how easy it is to get this "perfect timing" parry.

it seems to be quite difficult, at least going by the lack of footage there is for it (not many at the E3 booths could pull it off, and within nintendo's own stream they only did it twice among the like 5 hours of footage) - though I suspect more experienced players could pull it off most of the time, I reckon certain enemies can't be countered with the parry at all.

...

holy shit

>people are still buthurt about bayonetta 2 being wiiu exclusive
its been 4 years guys. get over it

see and and

>Footage of the game being recorded with a camera show it's a lot more vibrant when not in captured footage.
That's just because cameras aren't good at recording TV screens. Most of them auto-adjust color and contrast on the assumption that you're photographing a person's face indoors

Seems to be difficult? It's the same parry from skyward sword, it wasn't hard then and it isn't hard now. People actually think a Nintendo "I pee pee in my pants" game will be difficult, it's just sad..

>people still use, and fall, for this bait

no, it's because they likely increased the saturation on the TVs at E3/etc., since this is a known problem with the wii u system. see and zelda games in general are easy, true; the "it seems to be difficult" was just an observation based on the fact this move didn't show up much in the gameplay footage out there.
