I don't get why there's so much hate for people who like streamers or Let's Players. I enjoy listening to a podcast when I'm playing a game and sometimes I like to imagine myself as part of the group and I reply and inject myself into the conversation to pretend I'm part of the podcast.

It's pretty comfy sitting in a chatroom while someone plays a fun game. I don't mind donating small amounts (No more than $50) to streamers I like and it's basically as if I went to the bar or out with friends but instead I'm going out I can meet with my friends in the twitch chatroom. I enjoy the shoutout after a donation and I like to feel appreciated as well so there's no real reason for the hate.

Cobaltstreak needs to shave that neckbeard and take a shower

Also do you still feel okay with donating "small amounts" when you realize the streamer you're watching probably make more than most surgeons?

but he does MORE work than a surgeon, keeping a community together

I appreciate them because I don't like playing shit like Uncharted/TLoU/Overwatch/Dark Souls. At the same time though, I don't want to be left out of the conversation at work or between friends. LP's make it easier to lie about having bought/played whatever piece of shit is flavor of the week.

>thanks for the primesub yummm watch me play Isaac for 12 hours
More work than
>8 yrs of school and 4-8 years of residency
>literally holding the life/the use of someone's appendages or organs etc in your hands when you go to work
>mess up and you'll likely have to start over your whole life and somehow still payback that 200k school debt

...

you fell for the worst bait i've done, kys

There is no hate for people who like streamers/ Let's players. if you enjoy someones content its your right to do so.
Its just that the people who speak critically or bad about them mostly had negative experiences on Twitch/Youtube.
The best example is CobaltStreak: His attitude is hit or miss and when it misses it does It pretty hard .Alot of people consider him filthy, thin skinned and uncharismatic. And If you think like this about a person and said person earns twenty times more than you, you might get pretty angry at the people that sopport this dude.

>Just pretending to be retarded
Go donate some more welfare money to mister heart failure in two years

>sometimes I like to imagine myself as part of the group and I reply and inject myself into the conversation to pretend I'm part of the podcast.

this part is a joke right? Don't tell me there are autists out there that actually do this?

This coming from someone who has no problem with streamers.

The problem is that they make a fucking sound.

Also that everyone can play a fucking video game unless they have toaster tier PC.

>This coming from someone who has no problem with streamers.

You're just as bad as OP.

DRY

I don't watch or donate to them. I just don't think about them

Going around hating on something that has nothing to do with you is what makes you as bad as OP

You don't understand, though.
Streaming DOES have something to do with me, these people are """enjoying""" video games all wrong, and quite honestly, I don't like it.

bwcause most of them are either pedophiles, people with criminal records, perverts and people who sexual assault people

BABEH

Nothing against streams/LPs but when you bring money into it it's ruined imo. I like watching smaller streams where someone just plays video games as a hobby when they want to play a game and socialize. Streams where a lot of the time is spent on thanking follows/subs/donates are awful. It makes me feel like the guy is just doing a job instead of relaxing.

Some guy fucking playing a game with a webcam isn't a job and it's not doing any kind of service. People are literally throwing their money away into a disposable good. It's not providing jobs to anyone or creating any actual production or revenue in the economy or marketplace. No one is gaining anything from the streamer. It's literally someone are donating to so he can sit on his ass and play a video game they could be playing themselves.

just cause you have a criminal record doesn't mean they shouldn't stream or do lets plays

>Some guy fucking playing a game with a webcam isn't a job and it's not doing any kind of service.
Yes it is, it's entertainment

>People are literally throwing their money away into a disposable good.
You are saying that like a major amount of things to spend money on aren't disposable. Going to the movies is a waste of money or eating a burger because it's a one time thing according to your logic.

>It's not providing jobs to anyone or creating any actual production or revenue in the economy or marketplace.
Yes it is, it creates a job for the streamer and Twitch is huge and so is Youtube so streaming and LPs do affect the economy a fair bit.

>No one is gaining anything from the streamer.
They are gaining entertainment

Now I'm not even saying paying supporting streamers is a good idea but that's because it's low class entertainment, not because of anything you claim. Everything you said was false.

At least the "entertainment" should have some quality, like NLs Streams
CobaltStreaks "entertainment" is just
>ONE SIXXTYNINE XDDD
>Do you like my new subalert?
>Cringeworthy attempts at commentary
>Banning people for simple coments despite getting tons of cash from them just because he has thin skin

If your standards are so low that you are ready to give some unkempt manchild your hard earned money so he can contribute to the degeneracy of our society , then you're a sad individual

>I like to imagine myself as part of the group

There are so many people with this mentality, and it is some of the most pathetic shit I've heard on here. You're so socially awkward that not only do you not have actual people, let alone friends, to converse with about video games that you consider the idea of someone talking to a general audience to be you personally.

You don't even consider yourself a human being at this point, you're a prop on the set of someone's life that doesn't acknowledge you even exist unless you give them money, and then it's for 5 seconds to say thanks and forget you. I'm being 100 percent sincere when I say people like you should kill yourself.

...

Most (wannabe) e-celeb are all about the usually obnoxious personality and that means they pay no attention to being half-competent at the games they play. If I watch a stream I'd like the person I'm watching be better at the game than I am.
