I'm trying to decide which one to buy. Which one deserves my hard earned money? Convince me which one is better as I love RPGs but also competitive multiplayer games.
Overwatch vs The Witcher
You'll get more out of TW3 than you will Overwatch. Trust me on that.
Depends. Which one do you like more? Overwatch or The Witcher 3?
Is it pretty immersive? How are the story choices and character customization, in terms of combat?
I've tried both but it enough to declare which one I'd prefer.
Well you better figure it out before you decide.
Which one would you choose?
Overwatch is decent with a group of friends but if you're asking if Actiblizz deserve your money, no they do not.
Haven't personally played it. I've played overwatch. I've watched a longplay of witcher 3. I wish I had bought that instead of OW.
Basically, OW doesn't balance well and is only worth it if you have people to play with.
Absolutely get TW3. There are plenty of story choices and even the side quests don't feel like generic side quests. The witcher sets and character builds can be hybrid, sword/sign, alchemy anything really so it warrants a NG+ on its own.
I'd buy TW3 because I don't really like games like Overwatch. I put tons of hours into TW3 but if you're into games like Overwatch you could probably sink months into that
Are they just pandering nowadays rather than focusing on core gameplay, like Bioware?
There's a little bit of that but mostly Blizzard just shits out casual, watered-down dogshit for normies nowadays.
I remember when they put out decent rts games. I miss that Blizzard.
Buy TW3, play paladins for free.
I keep seeing Paladins threads. Is it just meming or is it legit fun?
>mfw blizzababies think their baby's first rts was ever anything more than casual garbage
It's poor people's overwatch, so they're very similar games, but I find it more fun since ultimates are much easier to play around. The card/loadout systems are also fun to experiment with and allows you to play heroes differently. I also find that playing "the meta" isn't nearly as important in paladins than in overwatch, as the general population is less skilled so you can get away with meme compositions.
I haven't played Witcher but I have played OW.
It's shit, get Witcher.
Definitely immersive. Story choices can vary, but it's mostly same-y no matter what choices you make. Combat customization is pretty small, since you can only use swords, magic, crossbows and potions. There's also a metric shitton of sidequests, which contrary to most rpgs arent shit.
Worth getting and playing twice, I'd say.
It's not very good but it certainly beats OW.
>horses so you don't crawl out of spawn for ages
>all heroes can for the most part win almost any 1v1 if you actually outskill the opponent contrasting to OW's hardcounter crap
>shields don't completely break the game like in OW since you can just buy upgrades to do more antishield damage
>ultimates don't dominate the game entirely and are mostly mild advantages
>most maps have actual flanking routes and different paths and chokepoints which encourages multifront combat, I only remember hating one map called Ice Mines because it played like an OW map (long distance from spawn to objective and lack of alternate routes)
That being said the core gameplay is still kinda meh due to the genre itself, takes too much from ASSFAGGOTS and not enough from FPS.
