Did you play the first one?

Disappointment

Best game of the series.

No

awful desu. got 2, played for 20mins, quit. friend forced me to play 1 to the end. got 2, played for 2 hours, got stuck inside a wall, quit.ยด

but it really is meant to be the peak of the series. don't play unless you've finished 1

Faggot

A bretty good game with strong focus on characters.

Garrus and Tali are bros

yep, i don't understand how they fucked up 3 so hard

That was a little uncalled for

play the first game you retard

Play the first one

only thing i remember is the camel toes

not him, but you wouldn't start off reading LOTR with The Two Towers

Ok Op here, just loaded it up. How do I connect my plug in controller, it's not working.

Literal retards detected.

ME2 was designed as an introduction to the series for people who didn't play the first game, the plot is basically standalone and all the characters that matter are new to ME2.

Dude, stop. Play the first one, then transfer your save into the 2nd one. Then do the same for the 3rd and be reasonably salty once you complete the trilogy.

[spoilers]still worth the playthrough. It was fun and I'm mildly hyped for ME4.[/spoilers]

Why do people think 2 is better than 1?

A pretty fun game if you pick Vanguard as your starting class.

>garrus
>new

I honestly wish i saved the mad copy pasta because i relate 100% ME was a fucking awesome series and one of the best sci fi RPGs and then they just fucked it with 3. I played the demo and was on track to buy it then i heard about the ending and refused to. Fucking killed me. Then the andromeda trailer came out. Holy fucking hell.

40+ or so hours if you that kind of person that reads/explores everyhing.
Make sure to play Arrival DLC just before you start Mass Effect 3 because this mission serves as a prologue.
Finish the collector base, download ME3, play arrival and start mass effect 3.

Arrival even starts like a cliche prologue - some kind of black ops operation somewhere on the enemy terrotory (there is a cold war going on between humans and batarians) and in the end you fuck everything up and get court martial'd

Don't listen to this autistic retard.

Because it is? It does everything ME1 does, but better/more of the same.

It adds ammo though, you Cuck. It's for casuals.

Not enought N7 missions and most of them are about shooting things in different decorations.
I don't recall a single mission where you could talk to someone.

I still think ME2 was what killed it all. I loved ME2, but it didn't really hit me until I finished ME3 that ME2 didn't advance the plot fuck all.
All we got was Cerberus and some minor character development, and that's literally it. They should have made the reaper factory or whatever the fuck it was, a core plot point of some kind for ME3. So they could have gutted the choice of destroying it or not.

Man, I knew it was gonna be a rough ride minutes into ME3. They should have made the reaper assault like a big thing at the end, quiet before storm and all that. Could have unfucked what ME2 did (or didn't do) that way. But nope, its all rush rush towards the end.

I'm getting mad again just by thinking of ME.

Don't be a soldier-only fag like the mad ME1 cucks in this thread

ME 1 is star trek, ME 2 is star wars

I play Engi/Infil, ME2 is shit.

>food analogy

Your loss you have shit taste, it's the best RPG/TPS out there

Infiltrator best class

>ME2 didn't advance the plot fuck all.

Oh man, when I finished the second one, I felt that way. It was basically one big filler episode.

Whenever I'm reminded of ME, I just think of the trilogy as one whole game/experience, like PS1-era final fantasy games (each ME game = 1 disc). It kinda keeps me from getting to upset. ME Andromeda looks like a decent redemption for the series though.

>ammo
>"RPG"

>being so dumb you can't deal with ammo management

ME1 cucks everyone. I'm so glad they got rid of that clunky and shit gameplay from the first game going into 2

OP here, loaded it up with the controller mod. When I click male after new game it freezes. Wat do?

Be a space wizard lesbian.

You're just b8ing now.

Why would anybody just come online to troll like this? I just don't understand

Vanguard best class.
Miranda best girl but her romance goes NOWHERE in 3, so get second best girl Tali.
Thane best boy.
Mordin best bro.
Don't forget to buy every ship enhancement your companions suggest, they are crucial to survive the final battle. Also, do every companion quest.
Morinth is the worst, kill her.
Remember to do Jack and Miranda's loyalty missions early, because then it's easier to avoid one of the most frustrating character events in the game.
Don't try to roleplay/think morally, just pick a side (Paragon/Renegade) and stick to it, because the points you get from them are important in many events.
Enjoy the characters as much as you can, since they're the only great part of this game, writing wise, and the sole focus of the story progression.

I think that's it.

nope

The plot should have gone 2 > 1 > 3 to create a better flow

2: the introduction
>Something is abducting humans on a ton of planets
>Learn they are the collectors
>At the end during the fight for the collector base you learn vaguely what a Reaper is, setting up the larger villain
1: plot thickens
>Develops the reaper plot
>You successfully stop Sovreign's invasion attempt and know that more are coming
And then 3 where the climax happens

I think that about covers it. Do the side missions for the characters you like.

I just hope that they will just stop with the reaper bullshit.
I'm willing to accept minor mistakes with FTL travel and why no one ever mentioned andromeda initiative in the trilogy just like i accepted Drell in ME2.
I just hope Mac Walters won't fuck up big time with this and actually asks Drew Karpyshyn for help since he has returned to bioware anyway.
Only thing he has to do is mention somewhere that this 'project' had nothing to do with reapers whatsoever, was funded by all races and is done purely for science or whatever.

Ok I can't fix this. Just gonna play Skyrim Special edition

Excessively simple but mostly enjoyable gameplay, and a weak plot that's mostly held up by the extremely likeable cast.
Also play as a Vanguard because it's the most fun class in the game. If you do, max out your charge ability ASAP.

Best game of its generation.

Look up the important choices and download a ME1 save first.

The default one is incredibly shitty.

You aren't locked into the class or appearance of that save, so just try to find one that made the choices you would have made, or as close as possible to the choices you would have made.

Go back and play ME1.

The best trilogy in vidya. Play the first one.

The game is pretty good. You'll miss a number of references for not having played the first game. Go paragon OR renegade, the game punishes wishy-washiness.

The biggest legit complaint is that the plot doesn't do its job of bridging the first and third games together, and failing to set up the third at all. As a stand-alone it'll seem fine.

ME3 is alright in the first half, they did a halfway decent job showing you how bleak the war with the reapers looks, but dear god did they fuck it up with the ending. Characters like Steve "DID I MENTION THAT I'M GAY?" Cortez and Eve "Men are evil, now let me tell you about the time my fellow women trapped me in a cave and how I nearly starved to death" the Krogan didn't help either.

Finite ammo is an upgrade from infinite ammo!

I've never played a bioware game. Should I start with this series?

Whoa

If you really like the idea of the setting, sure.

Just play 1, 2 and halfway up to 3. It's taken for granted, now that everyone else is doing it, but the choices you made felt important and cool at the time till ME3 came along and the codex from the first game was amazing if you really wanted to get into the lore of the universe.
