Will Hello Games ever make a new game?

Will you buy it or did it change your opinion about hype and preordering, Sup Forums?

If you were hyped or preordered No Man's Sky you're very likely underage. Anyone with an IQ above 80 could see what a disaster it was going to be a mile away.

But the patch fixed everything

did the patch make it cost $0 dollars?

They will make another Based Joe Danger

FPBP. And I'm a guy who sinked hundreds of hours into Elite Dangerous, even I could tell it was going to be steaming shit.

The fucking guy is set for life

I stopped getting hyped for vidya since Spore happened. I just play my backlog and be surprised when something I like comes along. Did wonders for my blood pressure.

How's ED nowadays? Did they add more stuff in or are they planning on jewing you all with expansion packs?

i still have it

i played about 4 hours and half of that was making the game work on my pc so couldnt get a refund

shame on me

That game looked like a walking simulator from the start. Only fools got chumped by the visuals and bought that trash.

The stuff they've added is nothing to really write home about. Better than before I suppose, but the core gameplay is unchanged, you'll still be staring out at space and grinding 95% of the time. I mean whether you're transporting cargo like always, or transporting people because of the new patch, it's all the same, right?

There is some neat stuff, like launching smaller fighters from condas and other bigger ships, or getting AI to co-pilot with you, but to be honest I've never bothered with that crap.

For a while the enemy AI was total bullshit but they've tweaked it and it feels pretty on point, probably the best it's ever been. I haven't gone on for a couple of months though.

Dang. I think I'd rather wait for X4 since Egosoft confirmed they're working on it now.

they will dissolve their studio and regroup under a new name

People keep giving 343 and Capcom money, people will give Hello Games money when they release another broken game.

I got it for 15 bucks on a steam sale at the end of 2015 and I've put nearly 600 hours into it. Honestly I don't regret it, yeah the game is grindy as fuck but it's also very comfy if you like an isolated space atmosphere. I'd put some youtube videos on and do whatever goal I'd set out to do, trading, doing missions, reaching the centre etc. Very immersive and fun to just sink hours and hours into it.

Honestly if Horizons didn't turn from being the base game+extra content to just extra content I'd probably recommend getting that. The 1.7 patch brought me back in and I bought Horizons just to check out what was in it, and fell back in love with it for a hundred hours or so, but it's hard to encourage people to buy into that amount of jewery. It has some stuff that I really like, but FD just fucked up.

But desu if you're excited for X4 the base game is probably worth checking out, just wait for a sale.

Why the fuck would they make a patch and then give away the game for free?

Considering the fact that Sean Murray an hero'd, I doubt it.

I actually like no mans sky, it is what I expected it to be, a comfy, casual space exploration game.

>Will you buy it or did it change your opinion about hype and preordering, Sup Forums?

It's fucking 2017 and people still preorder? Jesus fuck. I learned my lesson with Modern Warfare 2.

that fucking shit eating grin makes me wish him dead in the most violent possible way

More like Goodbye Games amirite

...

I'm only really interested in X4 for the possibility of improved capital ship controls.

>Egosoft after Rebirth
No thanks

A better question is if they will make their first game.

People keep dropping Egosoft every time they release a game. It's kinda hilarious.

They did say Rebirth isn't X4, user.

They're basically German Bethesda. Their games fill a certain niche and there's a sizeable modding community so the general poor quality of their games gets a free pass.

Ain't got a reason to wait for 4 to come out and then wait a year for patches and mods to inevitably fix it

Only retards use hindsight to justify their own intelligence, like you.

I have other games to play too. When I say wait, I meant put on backloggery's wishlist and be surprised when it actually releases. It's not like we'll be sitting with our thumbs up our assess in front of the screen with a countdown on.

At least they still make patches of their games years later unlike Bethesda who just abandons a game six months after their last DLC hits.

Can you buy an auto pilot yet or do I still have to manually pilot from star to star to station.

Didn't someone find a big ass alien or something which had never been seen before?

idk i don't play it I just remember my friends who do play it acting like it was the second coming of Christ.

Do you have battered wife syndrome?

Comfy....Kek. The game is shit and you are in denial.

I learned my lesson about paying money for shit that doesn't exist years ago with Skyward Sword.

If anything, the newest member of the Trinity of Liars only reaffirmed the fact that you can never trust anything developers say or show you until the game is actually out. Trailers, betas, interviews, they should all be taken with a massive grain of salt and as much skepticism as you can muster. All pre-release material should be treated as nothing more than a proof of concept and not at all indicative of the final product.

The only people I know who thought it would be good were super normalfags. Anyone on Sup Forums who thought it was going to be good are just retarded though. Everyone here got plenty of warnings that it was going to be shit.

>Murray was nowhere to be found for like two months after NMS came out
>people were convinced he was dead in a ditch somewhere after offing himself

Those were fun times.

To be honest, they don't need to. NMS sold so many copies and had such hilariously small development costs that they can fiddle with NMS for the rest of their lives and never have to do anything ever again.

People keep saying it's a flop, they have no idea how much fucking money they made.

We'll know whether this changed anything based on whether Mass Effect 4 does well. If it does, then that will confirm video gaming is the industry of always washing away the past.

It did more damage to KS projects than preordering.

You can play it in Virtual Reality, you know.
