>literally still not finished
Early Access was a mistake.
I'll never forget it until I get me refund
Yeah, just imagine, you could be sitting around waiting for it to be finished right now instead of having hours of fun behind and ahead of you. What a mistake early access was.
>waiting for it to be finished
It is finished, user, they're just keeping the "early access" tag so that they don't have to explain shit nor expose themselves to en masse refunds. Just like Ark
Why do so many survival games fall for the PvP meme? Why is there never anything even remotely challenging in PvE? Instead some CoD faggot running around with a gun is the only threat in Dayz
> find a corpse with heaps of shit on it
> FUCKING NIIIIICE THESE GUNS
> suddenly start getting shot at
What I remember is paying £20 for it 3 years ago and the only major improvement since then is that enemies no longer clip through everything.
You can refund the early access games when they get out of the early access, right? I remember this happened to Killing Floor 2.
Even if it takes another 3 years, I'm determined to get my money back.
It's fun with friends but there are still numerous problems with the game.
Project Zomboid is pretty good for PvE: store.steampowered.com
Shame it's also trapped in the same Early Access bullshit and has been in development for ages with no full finished release in sight.
The early days when it was an Arma 2 mod with maybe 3-4 servers open was great. Players felt so cooperative, I had fun going around the coast picking up players in a boat and dropping them off where they wanted
Have they put the zombie hordes back in yet?
Another game Youtubers killed
Yes.
never thought about this but I shelled out 40$ for this bullshit like 2 years ago, you reckon I could actually get my money back? like 3 hours play max
Early Arma 2 mod was some of the best time in gaming I've ever had. I teamed up with a friend and would spend entire nights just wandering around. Three hours of just exploring, looting and then that 1 player encounter for about 15 minutes which was so fucking exciting. Finding a bike, managing to refuel it and driving careful as FUCK not to break it and carefully hide it for later use.
Good times.
>That shit
>A hoard
>There will never be an autistic open world game better than DayZ Origins
Bandits were never a bad thing, that's the whole point of the game, not for everything to act nice.
The biggest mistake they made was epoch, which casualized the playerbase
I refuse to play a Dayz mode without the 2 shot axe and hiding underneath trees so zombies can't hit you
I stopped playing the game a long time ago. Just before they added the prison island. The game was too buggy and broken for me. Plus other players shoot on sight. It was hard to find anyone to play with in game. Got sick of spending hours collecting loot just to be shot on sight.
Can you still play the Arma 2 mod?
best time ive ever had in gaming as well
Day Z or War Z, which one should I play?
Life is Feudal will present PvE aspects to it's 10,000+ player regional servers. Life is Feudal: Your Own is fairly buggy as it is still, so my hopes for the MMO aren't exactly the highest. But I've been hearing good things about it so far. Play with a pretty heavy RP group on LiF:YO that plays in the MMO. Guilds can now actually form alliances that are recognized in game, factions can now war with just one another instead of the entire server having to be in Judgement Hour. You start with 600 skill points (I think that's what I heard) as opposed to 1000 so it kind of forces you down one profession in the MMO so that everyone is forced to work together as a group.
Life is Feudal is probably the funnest, most balanced crafting survival game I have ever played. It isn't all that well known, and it's honestly a grindfest at first. But god damn making your own weapons or armor, or hell even massing an army and funding them with weapons and armor and siege equipment is epic as fuck. Especially when you actually go and siege an enemy fortress.
The PvE elements in the MMO are going to be tied to Druids and Natives within the land the MMO takes place in. Pic related, it's a model of one of the enemies. Kinda looks like a rip-off of Nito to be honest though.
But yeah combat is comparable to Mount & Blade, a little less capable but still fun. Physics based combat so there are speed bonuses to attack depending on whether you're coming downhill, uphill, running, walking, on horseback, etc.
lol bro that's three zombies and three feral dogs. That's not a horde.
>>literally still not finished
Worse. It still hasn't caught up to the features the mod had when standalone came out. No helicopters, no bikes, less cars, no base building, no doggo companion, no bandit system.
I don't even understand how this is possible. It's been three fucking years and it still has less content than the mod did 3 years ago.
The problem with many crafting survival games now is it turns into a crafting survival version of Counter Strike. Kill on Sight is what drives so many of these games inthe ground. There isn't any reason NOT to do it. Which is why I like Life is Feudal. The alignment system actually penalizes you for killing other players and it HURTS when you die. The less alignment you have, the more skill points you lose when you die so it kind of encourages you not to be a complete and utter asshole.
The refund system i restricted to 2 hours of playtime and 14 days after buy.
The removal of the bandit mechanic was the worst thing to ever happen to the game. It made it so there was actually a consequence for kill-on-sight deathmatch fuckheads.
Then Rocket says something like "I want to replace it with a better system that discourages random killing" one day, removes the mechanic before his new idea is ready and never ever replaces it, irreparably ruining the mod forever.
When someone asks what happened to the mod it just reminds me of the incompetence on his part and I get too mad to keep posting
