invisible war is the best deus ex game but deus ex had better maps
both deus ex and invisible war are equal in terms of relevant and factual information about the world we live in today. Information that the common man has no access to otherwise.
I'd honestly rather play IW than the newer two.
I liked HR, but MD bores me to tears.
>can't lean
>universal ammo
>console UI
>too little text per data cube (thanks again console)
totally just the maps
IW had a completely nonsensical storyline though. Those fucking aliens in the ice cavern, what the hell??
you didn't get the full scoop it seems.....
maybe something less difficult for you is what you need like deadrising.....
maybe buzzfeed or cnn has a job in reporting for you.................................
\
:^)
You're crazy.
the "aliens" in deus ex were majestic 12 experiments, they were in the first game too
...
How does difficulty have anything to do with aliums?
Go to bed kid.
Human Revolution > Deus Ex > Mankind Divided > Invisible War
I can see why people enjoyed the original Deus Ex, but what I really love about these types of games is going through areas stealthily and without being detected. Human Revolution was definitely a lot more casual but at the very least it accommodated stealth players more. The story in the original is definitely a lot more interesting and better-conceived than the augmented debate and "mechanical apartheid", but when I go to replay the games I usually have a much better time with HR and MD.
Also waiting to someday get a 1070/80 so I can hop off the 770 train and play Mankind Divided again above 37-40 FPS.
He looks like such a douche
Congratulations! You fit in!
I really feel like MD needed a new protagonist.
Literally Objectively Actually Truthfully:
1. Deus Ex
2. Deus Ex: Human Revolution
3. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
4. Deus Ex: Invisible War
I want a DX style game with more alien-focused conspiracies. Ufology just seems very poorly explored in games.
MD was marginally better than HR.
>it accommodated stealth players more
HR's stealth is so accomodating it's trivially easy. Adam's omniscience is pretty broken.
...
...
MD was too short.
I feel that it doesn't belong.
Deus Ex has always been lots of parties pulling on a web of strings for control.
This.
HR was acclaimed but had the same press one of 3 buttons ending shit that Mass Effect 3 had. Very overrated game.
It felt about the same length as HR, doing everything.
DX style game, not a game in the franchise.
Ufology peaked in the 90s, and a game that wants to get the most out of it as a theme should ideally be set in the 90s. it wasnt a great decade for much else, but the UFOs fit the 90s zeitgeist in a way that they didnt fit in any other decade, save maybe the 50s
>Human Revolution
The game-play is pretty good but I missed some things from the original like the lockpicking and the multi-tools system, it bothered me that you can't break doors or safe boxes like in the original, the only thing you can do is hack the door's security computers or use that bomb that auto-hacks them, also that a lot of things like chairs that are just solid props and you can't move throw them around like in the original.
It also bothers me that if you hack a computer in IW and HR the civilians and neutral armed guards nearby get triggered out like if you just shot somebody in the middle of the street while in the original it only happened if you let the Ice Breaker bar empty which is the most logical thing since for what do they care the civilians are only watching you using a computer like any other guy.
Both HR and IW went too over the top in the Sci-fi side of things, the original was more grounded in reality.
I consider those games to be set on alternative universes where the events of the first game more or less happened/will happen much with the more advanced technology of those games.
Also all the factions in IW with the exception of ApostleCorp were too archetypal, the Knights Templar are the stereotypical fanatics that hate technology, the Order controls all religions, the WTO controls all the economy and are the secular faction both the Iluminati and so on, the factions in the original were more believable.
IW most interesting faction imo was ApostleCorp and the conversations you have with Paul and JC, the Omar were pretty cool too.
IW isn't as bad as some people believe, the problem is that you spend the first 3 to 5 hours in the ugliest and most boring place of all games I've played (Seattle) once you get to Cairo it gets more interesting
>DX style game, not a game in the franchise.
Why aren't there more games like Deus Ex by the way?, my dream game is a GTA sized open world with the mechanics of the original game.
I played a a girl because the male protag looks like he belongs to Crazy Town.
Should the next Deus Ex have a new protag?
It should not exist tbqh, sequels have varied between garbage and mediocrity so far. Just put it to rest and make new things.
I would argue HR while not perfect was still pretty good.
>Should the next Deus Ex have a new protag?
The next game should be a remake of Invisible War using the content that was originally planned.
Fun fact - it was originally planned that you could play as female JC in Deus Ex, that's why there is a male and a female protagonist in IW.
This is an official concept art , she looks like Lara Croft.
haha rol xd
That would have been great, I can see that working really well.
Someone should voice and design female counter part and mod it into the game, I'm pretty sure the game wouldn't significantly change if JC were female, and the voice performance wouldn't be too demanding, just find a 20-something new yorker to monotonously say the lines while smoking a cigarette.
Elaborate.
Aren't we forgetting something..,.
oh lord
Was that any good at all?
It seems based on the concept art that the levels were originally envisioned as being huge city hubs
>Was that any good at all?
I haven't play it but it seems like it's just a cash-in for smartphones
It was praised only because it could run on phones.
It's a watered down, uglier HR with boring characters and a meaningless plot.
Look up a youtube video to see for yourself.
You're better off playing Deus Ex GO.
...
Well that doesn't fix the story any.
...
>Was that any good at all?
Nope its not good , I'm playing it right now on PC, it's obvious it's a phone game, the enemies are braindead idiots and the stealth is meaningless you can gun down everything, the graphics look ugly.
The plot is about some British aug guy that was a merc for Belltower and the bosses of HR were his co-workers, he tells the story to his qt aug gf and they want to rebel against the Illuminati
But hey at least it has an Skul-gun reference
Is this accurate?
Sure.
They set up some interesting stuff in MD that revolves around Jensen so I'll give him one more.
Next time should definitely be the last time though.
There is something about Jensen that I just don't like.
