Could this game save the 3D platformer?
Yooka-Laylee
What am I, a fucking medium?
Based on the demo it has a damn good chance
Too many red flags already. It's going to be mediorce at best.
Thankfully Mario's picking up the slack
more like extra large
lolnope
>save
the genre is actually healthier than it's been for a decade
-yooka laylee
-crash bandicoot remaster
-mario odyssey
almost feels like 1997 again
Did you play it at an event?
I'll have to say 'No'.
From what little gameplay we've seeen, I gotta say I'm not impressed.
Everything shown looks decent, but nothing about it looks amazing.
I still hope the game will turn out good.
no i just meant the toybox
Probably not, because the environments look like complete dog shit. All semblance of artistic style has been thrown out in favour of muh HD shaders.
No, but I'll still enjoy it.
Ty the Tasmanian Tiger got a remade Steam port.
I actually had fun with that, despite the whole thing looking like a test map.
>Too many red flags already.
elaborate.
Will it have a Stop 'n' Swop?
Yooka Laylee is confirmed to be coming to the Switch as well. For me, having Odyssey and Yooka Laylee on the same system will feel like having Banjo Kazooie and Mario 64 on the same system, awesome.
I am hoping that they announce that Yooka Laylee will get a physical release for the Switch version, and that it will still release on time with its normal release date.
No. It won't have the "game feel" that nostalgic Banjo fans are looking for. People will say they enjoyed it for the first month or so, and after that opinions will begin to shift back to reality.
>game feel
Fuck off Arin
No, because all of you are just going to build the expectations to an unrealistic level that will lead to disappointment just because of your incapability of just enjoying a game.
No, but Super Mario Odyssey can :^)
more like extra fucking large
i suppose it'll be humorous and full of references to rare's fate of the past decade
can't wait, but i don't know whether to move my wii u reward to pc or switch
Yes it could. It could also be proof that nobody remembers the real reason they were great
Hint: it was the music
Well, Yooka-Laylee has both Grant Kirkhope and David Wise, so I think we're set in that department.
dark souls is the best 3d platformer
...
So...why is this game $60 actually?
Were you born yesterday?
What's wrong with it being 60 dollars? It's got a lot of content.
yes
Don't forget Ratchet & Clank, very nice little gem
Dog its just time 3-D platformers came back. this is a fucking team effort now.
This will with it's 3 games
Haha
Yeah, you can stop playing it 'n' swop to something better
Deadcore already saved 3D platforming
I WANT TO FUCK THAT BAT
I've already played those games with better looking environments.
almost, but not quite
you're gonna need more than one game to save it
thankfully we also have crash n-sane trilogy
I never enjoyed the collectathon platformer, so I wouldn't know. Do people that loved Banjo-Kazooie as a kid still enjoy it as an adult?
I do
I've been playing through it the last couple of days for the first time since around 2000-ish and been having a blast. And that's on a Nintendo 64 with its blurry visuals and a wonky stick that I have to push really far and makes my thumb hurt after 20 minutes.
I still enjoyed playing the Banjo games again in recent times.
Hell, I even loved playing 3D platformers I never played before like Rocket Robot on Wheels and the Sly games.
I will get it for Switch but I am not sure it will be good. The graphics are fine and the music is amazing so far but the gameplay in Unity seems off. It does not seem satisfying to play.
Is there multiplayer?
Bump you god damn faggots
The demo felt really good control-wise
