Mario is a boring character who just "wahoo's" and "here we go" and his story is almost always to go rescue the princess, but his games are great because of the gameplay, artstyle, and sound (in that order)

I want to agree, but I can't see myself playing something like Atelier Rorona or whatever that series is called. I haven't looked into videos of gameplay and it could possibly win me over that way (I don't even know if it has good gameplay but I've seen some discussion for it on Sup Forums), it's character design/artstyle looks too overwhelmingly feminine (faggy).
