What does Sup Forums think of Rance?

interesting setting
some of the games are pretty fun
shit porn

Rance is cool

We need more idiots like him in video games

Sup Forums thinks he is great.

I think that the casual raping and treating it as a good thing is slightly disturbing, enough that I didn't really enjoy the story in the series. And given that you don't really play the games for the porn, that kind of leaves only the gameplay as the selling point.

As a vanilla fag, I don't find the porn interesting, and I'm not good at strategy games to enjoy the gameplay

Only Sengoku is a strategy game.
They kept changing things around a lot after the 5th (I think?) game in the series.

doesn't matter to me, I'll never play it

I love him enough to make my boyfriend roleplay as him during sex.

Female rance is better, she has a dick

Always wanted to try Sengoku Rance.

Rance series was fappable up through Kichikuou.
Then there was a six year gap until Rance returned with Rance 5D, but for some reason it had sex scenes that were short and undetailed, and that become the new standard.

Sup Forums memes people into playing a lot of shit games, but sengoku rance is legitimately one of the best games i've played. anyone who missed the train when it was popular owes it to themselves to play it still.

addictive.
is the post game content worth it? seems to be a ton of extra missions but theyre not very interesting

oh btw i was talking about 6 since it was released recently

quick name the best Rance game there isn't much time

I played it and honestly don't see how it is so great. Sure, it's better than most porn games, but that's not exactly saying anything.

Unit strategy is fairly shallow and basically amounts to fucking up until you figure out what is good from the vast majority that isn't. Tactical strategy just amounts to "defend your ass" and "send best troops to take capital". Heck, there's more strategy in manipulating the game logic to your own ends (avoiding Iga warring with you, breaking as few vases for as long as you can) than there is in actually going through any of the fights in the game.

I like that though, the game has a lot of obscure features and events so that it encourages experimentation and discovery in a way that's very uncommon in games. Just don't read guides and it won't suck the fun out of it.

Why is Autism-chan so cute?

What's the problem with Iga? I never gave a shit.

any one where rance rapes a girl

>What's the problem with Iga?
They have one of the flasks, so you can delay the Demon Army from showing up if you just don't fight them. You can get all the way into fighting Takeda/Mouri if you just put Iga on hold.

Plus, unless you use Rance/Suzume to take the Iga capital, the head ninja will keep coming back to gangbang your asshole when you are busy with far more important stuff. It's just easier to not deal with him until the biggest stuff is taken care of.

Plus, it's easy as fuck to manage Iga. They won't declare war if you're already in a war, so just go keep picking fights.

Eh. A lot of the different stuff you can find relies on NG+ and frequently on purchasing the specific route with bonus points from game clears. Plus, the game can take a long time to get through, so you are still stuck playing the first several hours, again and again and again, for each different discovery you could potentially make.

Oh cool. I could never fight the youkai because something always happened before I got there. I may have to try that on my next run.

The game or the Character?
The character is great, he's an amazing manly man that doesn't hesitate to do what needs to be done even if he doesn't enjoy it.

The Demon Army only shows up after breaking five urns. The most common ways of getting around this is to either keep Ashikaga alive (and at war with them) or to avoid going to war with Iga, if not both. You can have Oda, Ashikaga, Tenshi, Mouri, and Takeda as the five urns which are broken, which means clearing most of the map before dealing with the Demons. Or, if you preserve Ashikaga, then you can even push it into finishing off Houjou or someplace else.

I would recommend getting the command orders from the NG+ bonuses if you want to try that, though. Getting into war with some 3+ enemy armies at the same time is going to be rough, and automatically retaking territory at the end of each turn can effectively null three invading armies while you deal with a fourth. NG+ command orders will also allow you to use them against the Demon Army.

You probably don't want to use command orders against the Youkai, though, since you probably want to catch all the girls in that army. They're all very good.

Oh, one last thing: if you avoid breaking urns for too long, a random one will end up getting broken after a set number of turns. I think it's every 15 turns or so, the game checks to see if a certain amount are broken and then breaks one if not. So you'll want at least a second urn broken by turn 30 or so (probably Tenshi) or else the game will crack a random one. I think you an delay the fifth urn up to turn 90 if you want, at which point the game will just crack open a random 5th urn and start the events from there.

"Hero" of the story, but he rapes indiscriminately.

Gook culture is weird.
