ITT: Games with good audio design and sound effects

I bought this game when it was $10 and it went something like this:

>loading screen
>cutscene
>loading screen
>drive a km
>loading screen
>cutscene
>loading screen
>cutscene
>choose car
>cutscene
>loading screen
>finally get to drive where i want
>fall though the road
>loading screen for a solid minute

yea shit game. best refund i ever had

The only NFS game I've ever played and beaten was Most Wanted (2005).
What are the best NFS games?

the most recent most wanted is pretty good. basically a worse version of burnout paradise but it's not bad

Underground 2.

Post your carfu

>Do the final race against the guy with the GTR
>Go fast
>Road disappears
>Fall through it and lose the race
>it happens 5 times in a row
Tougue is the only good mode the race is über boring

>barely touch a wall
>have to watch a 7 second cutscene of your crash with instagram filters

Driveclub has really good audio
Actually a pretty damn good game too

...

>Go in a straight line
>Car will randomly move left and right
good game

i haven't played this nfs
but you do realize cars are affected by the surface they're on, right? if you drive a car on a perfectly straight road with your hands off the wheel and foot on the gas you're still going to fucking crash

You already played the best. The Underground ones are pretty good too though.

...

Most wanted 2005 is the best need for speed. The new one is ass though.

Underground 2.
The best NFS game, quite possibly one of the best arcade racers ever made

the new Most Wanted.
The game actually has a path he wants you to take, and if you try to go out of it you will be nudged back. What often ends with you crashing into walls

ohhh
that sounds absolutely horrible
so basically, if you deviate from the racing line the game tries to correct you but ends up fucking you over most of the time? that's insane

>Worst car customization than any other NFS out there

On top of the fact that outside of the the low end starter cars customization outside of body kits is as common as water in the desert

The game looks really nice though.

Black for the PS2

>childhood is idolising Razor
>adulthood is realising Darius makes more sense

Oh God, yes.

Same exact experience.
