In the case of gameplay those titles mostly play the same(cod may take place in a different war or there are new pokemons) but the general gameplay is the same.

If the argument is about setting then fine Yakuza hardly differs in each titles but to me that is ok.

Yes. The stories are pretty shit anyhow so you're not missing out on too much. If there's ONE Yakuza game you should get it's this. It's literally the peak of the series.

No, overall. There's seriously not too much improvements to anything in the series before 0. I mean even unlimited eating was only invented in 0.

Well duh. They still have improvements throughout (and of course in some cases steps backwards) but as far as Yakuza went gameplaywise it was mostly the same shit from 1 to 5 with basically few QoL additions and nothing much else.
