Thinking of buying pic related. Is it any good to start now? Probably might have to play it in console if the game demands a good gpu for high quality. I'm not that interested in ultra.

Game is pretty bad, uninstalled it after a few hours. Don't fall for the ruse.

It's a great time to start yeah
I like it a lot, feels underrated (probably because of the high spec requirements)

as always git gud

>gitgud xxDDXDXDD
redditors try to hard

>le ubisoft shill XD
I think YOU do

High spec requirements? Ah damn, that's me out then. Was thinking of getting it, but I want it to at least run.

Its a game you either like or don't no real middle ground. Its very slow paced and based around more slow tactic approaches then fast mechanical depth type play. Classes do actually feel unique though and not out of place like most class based shooters that feel like chopped down characters.

Getting nicked in the head by a random shot on rare occasion is annoying as shit as headshots will instantly kill you regardless of armor or health. Overall i didn't much care for it but it isn't a bad game. One of the few Ubisoft games that isn't shit.

well you could try it for 2 hours on Steam and refund it if you like

>frantically trying to cover bases this hard

Why are Sup Forums kids so insecure?

I'll take what you said into consideration. Thanks

It's certainly not CoD levels of fast gameplay but it's nowhere near slow.

I recently picked it up and think it's really fun. It's an FPS that requires a little bit of strategy, not much but more then just mindlessly running around and gunning everything like CoD/BF

I run it on high 1080p with a 760 just fine if that helps

also, don't expect any decent teamwork or communication. it's not "tactical" or whatever unless you play with competent friends and use voice chat

pretty good time to pick it up, a lot of people playing it after the steam sale, not nearly as dead as it used to be.

I'm addicted to it like a Dota or CSfag I need help

This.

Teammates are unreliable at best and completely braindead at worst.

Also expect Caviera to be on your team literally every single defense round.

oh yeah and also this

Its real good. Theres never a bad time to jump in, as the game has only been on an upward incline in quality. Ubisoft has actually put post-release dev time into this title and we just got a brand new year of content to look forward too.

Its a fun game, Play on PC if you can, its not that demanding and once you get into it enough you might even become a try hard and drop your gfx to low/comp specc.

Has a fair/the best payment model available imo. Game has longevity in both fun/skill building and character unlocking. You do not need every operator to be viable as a player. There were a couple essentials but over the past couple patches we have gotten alternative choices so theres more variety in picks.

tl:dr;
>Its a good game thats getting better
>Its tricky to learn at first but satisfaction comes with time
>Game is always more fun with friends
>Doesn't show signs of slowing down anytime soon

It runs alright with low mediums settings on average computers. If you have a toaster or old hardware don't buy it. As for the gameplay and everything else. Yes it's deff a buy, but only on sale. Don't pay more then 30+ for it. And don't fuck with the season pass.

>don't fuck with the season pass
any experience with this?

why is the attacker hiding from the defender?

My experiences over the past 3 seasons are that these comments should not be mentioned if we are discussing casual MM.

In competitive I more often than not find competent randoms. At worst they are silent but know how to play. Slightly above that they are vocal, and communication/working together allows for tightening of playstyles mid-match. High end I get paired with people on mics, around the same skill as myself and we work together and coordinate drones and shit just fine.

Everything is unlockable with the in game currency you gain just through playing. I'm assuming thats what hes talking about

I like it a lot. It's like Counter-Strike with more gameplay depth to it. Also I like games with destructible walls and stuff.

But I gotta ask what the fuck is the point of Pulse because I can't detect people who are right in-front of me and blow my brains out because I had my dumb sensor up.

Honestly, I think it's probably the best MP FPS on the market for your money right now, only huge problem is the fucking netcode. It will fuck you over regularly and Ubi is taking absolutely forever to get it fixed, other than that it's a damn good game.

because noobs play slow and hide while good players are fast and aggressive

Noobs play attack only?

Bought both season passes (one for $15 and the current one for $30)

I have 110 hours so far, and don't believe I could have unlocked all the DLC operators by then. I think it's well worth it because you get to have more variety faster.

Basically just allows those with it to access DLC characters 1 week prior to their public release. You also get some currency to buy things in-game.

In general you can just play the base game (or starter edition if they ever open that up again) and learn to play, picking up new OPs as you get the funds to do so.

You unlock new OPs with in-game currency, acquired through daily/weekly missions and simply playing rounds.

Starter Edition has to pay 3x(?) the amount per operator than someone with the regular game version.

But the way the game is structure/plays you never feel the need to have more OPs. You can comfortably find a couple you enjoy playing as and grow as a player and unlock new Operators as you passively generate this currency.

A lot of prospecting players get turned away at the idea of having to unlock new Operators. Either they think you need all of them to be viable/have a chance. Or they think you unlock them with REAL money- WHICH IS NOT THE CASE.

He used to be able to see through multiple walls but they nerfed him for obvious reason to what he is now. He fits the bill for more experienced players who know their maps really well.

Was it in a sale recently? cause that might make the game take a while to get on sale again. I saw it at walmart at $40 bucks.

>Don't need every operator to be viable

Everytime I start up my PC version, I remember that I don't have shit unlocked, and close it everytime. Why would that be? That's actually my biggest issue with most of these games nowadays, longevity shouldn't come from unlocking stuff. Why am I gimped for having a job and less time?

Yeah but, I can't sense someone who's outside a window? Do they have to meet some sort of criteria to be sensed or something?

it was like $20 during the steam sale

hug the wall, you gotta be right up on that shit

If you have a job and you find time more valuable than money, you can unlock your operators using said money. Either buy the season pass for extra currency generation + a handful of premium dosh, or just go straight and buy the premium currency and buy your operators.

Other than that I do not know why you close the game at the thought of not having every character unlocked.

Think of it as learning the game and each Operator more thoroughly as you are being guided into committing yourself to whichever ones you have available to you. Unlocking new characters doesn't even take that long on the standard game.

Do the Situations- they take an hour and teach you the basics. You should get enough currency to get 1-2 new characters.

You have to be looking in their direction as the red bar sweeps over. You cant just whip your mouse around and spot them.

He gets easier as you learn the maps. I would not use him as a new player. But seeing that you have him: The easiest kills you can get are looking up, finding them on the ceiling (assuming wood) and throwing your C4 up there and blowing people up.

>update that redid gunshot caliber and bullet holes related to that
>now I swiss cheese the wall with tiny bullet holes at ambush points
>wait to see movement and light shifting on the other side
>KNOCK KNOCK MOTHAFUCKA!

>Also on Oregon
>Objective in dorms
>Playing Cav
>Hide up in small hall above meeting hall, also reinforce from tower side rather than dorm side
>then go to tower and hide up in the top behind the sheets
>check cameras, see the one near construction and one not near main entrance got taken out
>game on
>hear people breaking in from 2nd floor of tower
>wait a bit
>see hibana, sledge, buck, and thatcher all come in
>it really can't be this easy
>tell team to back off of dorm side wall
>hibana does a 2 charge tall opening
>team lines up to crawl through
>mow them all down without a 2nd thought
>suddenly 5v1

Nothing more satisfying than getting the drop on your enemy. Why players level 80+ and in ranked don't quickly clear rooms and corners, and have one person watching the flank is beyond me.

Holy shit, you're kidding right? I'm not doing single player bot shit to unlock people to play as. I'm not spending money to unlock characters in a game I already paid for. I drop most games with that system if it's not ultra fucking fun. If I'm getting stomped out by something I can't use, it's instantly bullshit. That thing I can't use doesn't get unlocked until the last level and everyone else with a maxed out character is using it? The worst thing about Siege is

"Oh hey, I know you're good at using this class, but you didn't get to it first. Enjoy watching your teammate waste both thermite charges on unarmored window panels. Pick your class faster next time kid."
