That's not true, because PC has tons of games with a lot of depth that exist on no other platforms. Such as War in the Pacific for example. These games will keep PC gaming alive forever, because no other platform can replace it.

I mean the easy money on PC is console ports and mobas for sure. You can make a lot of money releasing either of those, but there are also lots of good games being released even today that don't even work on other platforms. Way better than the trash we got in the 90s and 2000s that people with rose tinted goggles always seem to want because it was their childhood.

I played video games in the 90s and 2000s and I still play them today, and you know what? The games back then weren't much better than the console AAA shovelware today.

If I went and played some of childhood games like Command and Conquer or Doom I'd be disgusted. Nice level design sure, but it's just walking around corridors and shooting shit. I'm too old for that. Reaction time has turned to shit.

Console "ports" are really a thing of the past. Most games these days aren't ported from one platform to another but they're simply compiled with different settings as they are all based on rather generic game engines that handle the actual "porting" for them.

The point is that you have the choice on PC. If you want kb&m you can use it. If you want to use a controller you can do so. PC allows you to use the tool you want to use and the tool that is best for the job at hand.

That makes it superior.

It's a good thing then that PC has controller support. Xboner controller? Check. PS4 controller? Any time you want one. PS3 controller? Can be made work.

No that's what young people play these days. If you think about the situation kids are in, you'll quickly understand why those games are so popular. Kids don't have money to buy their own device, but their daddy and mommy usually either get them a laptop for school or there is a home PC that isn't used because daddy and mommy use the TV - which in turn rules out consoles other than handhelds. Well what do you know, f2p, valve shit and a lot of those survival games run on toasters and don't have a financial barrier to entry. This is perfect for kids.

The adult gaming audience that actually pays money for games is comparatively small and a lot of them are on traditional consoles like PS4 and XBox One. And that market is actually very likely dying, because bloated budgets and not enough buyers for games as adults don't have the time to play games 24/7 and kids are all about the free to play and mobile shit.

I don`t think "pc gaming" needs some short of saving since it keeps getting games, and console ports are games so i welcome them.
Is true there aren`t many "pc exclusives" but a game is a game for me, I don't give a shit where it came from, I will always find exclusives cancer even if they are designed to help sell the consoles better, not talking shit about the games though, I never bother to look about them unless they get a PC release.

The important point is that they got the choice to either go for good graphics or high FPS.

On a console that choice is made for you: the best graphics the platform can handle in order to look good on screenshots at the cost of playability, forcing you to endure each game at 30fps or less.

Even a shitty PC is better than a console because the PC user can simply lower the graphics and still enjoy the game.

The steam UI for friends is outdated as fuck. They should revamp the friends list with more features. Even the fucking xbox 360 had more features within the friends list. Also steak voice chat is abortion tier. The fucking Xbone has better party chat call quality than steam chat.
