>not being hype for Switch because the threequel to the best Wii games ever made is coming to it
>being this fucking casual or underage
Not being hype for Switch because the threequel to the best Wii games ever made is coming to it
But we know jack shit about it. Course, maybe that was just the translator fucking up.
I'm glad it's being made but there's nothing to be hyped for yet.
When I know a release date and that it is NMHS3 then it will be time to buy a Switch, for now there is no fucking reason.
I'm excited for it, but we don't even know the game's name
There's basically no chance of it coming out in 2017 anyway
Once I see gameplay I will be full hype.
Still very much looking forward to more of /ourguy/
NMH 1 & 2 were ass. NMH 3 will also be shit, because everything Suda51 makes is shit. He's shitty that he's only popular in the USA and he's still niche over here in the States.
Japs don't even know who the fuck he is and most of his games sell less than 5000 units in Nipp world.
I hate when people don't care about things I like either, user. I'd rather them outright hate it at the very least.
But I am
I did not like no more hero's I thought it was mediocre and I never finished it. From what I remember it was 2 edgy mcrandom lead character 4 me
Who gives a shit about wiggle waggle shovelware, 3D Mario is finally getting another game.
why is the first game so fucking memorable, every boss theme and sound effect is forever imprinted into my memory, same with killer7
how does suda do it
>Travis Touchdown
>Edgy
Besides when he went full "m-muh revenge" in NMH2, Travis is pretty much always just a chill otaku dude.
suggest boss concepts
No More Heroes was the start of Suda's downfall. He'll never make truly unique games like Killer7 or Flower Sun & Rain again. Just generic action games with "quirky" aesthetics.
2 was pretty bad compared to the first one, I have zero hopes for a 3rd game unless Suda blows me away
2 wasn't even directed by him, no one in his studio can properly ape his style without it going into lolsorandum territory
This has been my ringtone since the game came out
youtube.com
It works pretty well
>2 was pretty bad compared to the first one
The bosses weren't as memorable, but the soundtrack made up for it IMO
hmm, i do have the first 2 no more heroes games.
but after getting no more heroes on PS3 (and seeing it work just fine) i was hoping the next one wouldn't be nintendo exclusive.
oh well, maybe the switch will have some worthwhile games by the time NMH3 is out.
...
Better graphics, better music, better gameplay, way, way, way better mini games, even better humor.
It wasn't even worse. They just had different strengths.
I could give a shit 4 years ago, not now
No More Heroes 2 was directed, designed and written by Suda.
I know because Sup Forums told me so, and then called me an autistic console war shitposter when I pointed out he didn't. They drove the thread into the ground with it, so clearly they must have been right.
>threequel
You're an idiot. It's not NMH3.
Suda dislikes direct sequels, that's why the plot of NMH2 is a literal fuck you to people who wanted one.
Suda is back in charge here, his first game since NMH 1, he's going to make something with Travis, yes, but it's going to be different and that's a good thing.
I've never played No More Heroes, should I play it on Wii/Wii U or PC emulator?
PS3.
And what difference would it make between Wii and Wii-U? Are you seriously retarded?
Wii. Motion controls aren't intrusive and actually feel good to pull off.
Depends really.
My recommendation is for Wii. The motion controls are very satisfying without being the core focus of combat.
The PS3 version doesn't have the charm that the Wii version has but there are a few gameplay changes that might make a first playthrough smoother.
> playing NMH on PS3
It was better. No shitty controller, more stuff, less grind.
It was retarded of them to put those NMH 2 bosses in there though.
he said wii/wii-u OR pc, which implies that wii/wii-u is one choice and pc is another. He wasn't implying there was a difference between the two. You'd know that if English was your first language, Jose
Will we a return of Sir Henry?
I speedrun both the PS3 and Wii versions, so I think I'm qualified to talk about the differences between them
>Wii
Your bike quickturns at 90 degree angles
The grab range is larger
>PS3
You can move around while charging a high charge slash
You can stock Dark Side powerups for use later in stages
Unlike the Wii version, you can bring any Dark Side (not just 777's) to the end of a level for a 10k bonus
Your bike quickturns at free angles
You can fight NMH2 bosses in dreams you unlock throughout the game
You can refight bosses in the title screen
They buffed the bosses' AIs. Even on Sweet, they're smarter and react faster to your attacks and can't be stunlocked as easily
New minigames for money
Honestly, PS3 is the faster and mechanically better version, but it's way less fun to play because the PS3 motion controls are shit and everything is covered in grease
Allowing yourself to be hyped is literally a symptom of being underage.
Enjoy your Switch, but calm your tits.
He hasn't directed anything himself since No More Heroes, as far as I'm aware.
Never played NMH but i love Killer 7. Samurai Champloo is underrated
>300$
>70$ if you want to play it on a controller that is usable for grown up hands
>60$ for the game
I'm gonna get the Switch and the game if it supports the Wii U Pro controller.
Why? The whole point of No More Heroes is fun motion controls
So how well do NMH 1/2 emulate on Dolphin with a normal controller?
>the last game he made was the start of his downfall
Just fucking kill yourself.
I have never played these games how well do they emulate?
But user, there isn't any fun to be had if those little wagglesticks are too tiny to be operated comfortably.
That's just frustrating.
>see one thread, suddenly want to emulate it
what is up with that?
the game isn't even that good.
forums.dolphin-emu.org
It's possible to play these games on emulator, but it's some jank Mount & Blade shit
This may just be an indie wrestling game with Travis guest staring but who knows yet.
NMH is goat
No More Heroes (1 at least) is one of my Top 10 games. The story is fantastic and weird, the characters are incredibly memorable, the gameplay is phenomenal and actually has good depth, and the music is great. The only downsides (if you even consider them to be that) are the money grind, the lack of explanation for the really advanced tech, the barren overworld, and some bosses on Bitter literally taking over 10 minutes to kill.
>the grind for money in nmh1
im on the third best assassin and this game is fun but the only thing thats keeping me through it is the boss interactions. The grind is literally atrocious
The best wii game is mario galaxy
Pizza Butt 3 (Assassination Gig 11) is the fastest way to gain money in the game outside unless you have a fully upgraded Tsubaki Mk-III. 2 minutes to drive to the mission, 30 seconds to finish the mission, drive off a nearby cliff to warp back to the motel, 45 seconds to pick the mission again. $75k in around 4 minutes.
2 is better in every way besides the story.
>Drones think this game is NMH3 and use it to justify their purchase of a $300 Leapfrog tablet when there isn't even a title and all that they said was "Travis is coming back and we're working with indie developers"
What are her chances of coming back?
>nintencucks think there will be a NMH3 game
>implying all the hype isn't just for an appearance for a Brawl game.
Fuck you
Can you fuck off? We're trying to have a thread about video games and liking things instead of blindly hating shit.
It was great too, but for different reasons than the first one.
Suda has been getting fucked in the ass non-stop recently. I have no hopes for this turning out well.
He said something about Travis teaming up with an indie character so who will that be?
I'm playing 2 on Dolphin right now, but with a Wii remote. 2 also has a classic controller option
It emulates almost perfectly.
I hate no more heroes, but I appreciate this quality informative post. Keep it up user.
No, the frame rate drops made the gameplay stale as fuck
>Implying Suda's new game won't be vaporware after he dies of meth overdose
>tfw no ps3 port of nmh2.
Heroes paradise was beat version.
No More Heroes 3 is fucking vaporware until I at least see some alpha footage.
Sorry but this whole "TRAVIS IS BACK! GRASSHOPPER HAVEN'T EVEN STARTED MAKING THE GAME YET BUT TRAVIS IS BACK! BUY THE SWITCH!" isn't going to cut it Ninty.
Casual? No More Heroes is fucking easy.
The draw is the weird shit that happens in the story.
Play on Bitter then talk to me. Bitter bosses will kick your ass.
Fucking this.
I was planning on buying NMH1 but checked beforehand to see if NMH2 was also ported over to the PS3 and was sad to see that it wasn't. It would feel really weird owning a game and knowing you can't play the sequel. I'm not sure if I want to buy it now. I remember not enjoying the demo that much either. After a few minutes of cutting dudes up and having to kill dudes via QTEs, I got bored but I regained interest when I fought Death Metal.
Wiis go for like $50 and the game is only $10
I played on Bitter. The most noticeable difference is how many more hits some bosses will take, and some super attacks becoming one-hit kills (I think Shinobu was the one that annoyed me with this).
