Which Link had the most difficult adventure?
Which Link had the most difficult adventure?
Other urls found in this thread:
wind waker
TP link had a shitton of dungeons to deal with, but SS link didn't even have the muscle memory and knowledge of his prior incarnations to help him use items he had to figure that shit out on his lonesome
Skyward Sword
This. Had to sail the ocean by himself, kill the by average largest bosses in Zelda, and win a sword fight with Ganondorf before he turned 16
Majoras Mask
The Link from Zelda II.
And if he died, Ganon would get resurrected.
From a story perspective, probably Links Awakening Link. He spends the entire game meeting new people, getting a GF, only to find out it was just a dream and he wakes up passed out on a log in the middle of no where.
Either Link from Zelda 1/2 or LttP, given that they go through multiple games of bullshit. Maybe the former a bit more, since Hyrule at that point is a wasteland with no real assistance from anyone.
Link's Awakening Link. Not only did he have to go through 3 canon adventures (both Oracles and Awakening), but since LA references Link knowing Zelda that means he's the same kid who had an even earlier adventure (either the OG LoZ or possibly LttP).
No other single incarnation has done as much shit as him.
BotW Link, he has to save Hyrule AND Nintendo.
yeah hyrule in the originals would be really cool to see remastered
just this blasted wasteland that feels as if ganon has cucked it eternally, the only inhabitants being the aged, subterranean descendants of the hylian soldiers still waging their war from the vietcong tunnels
LttP since he had to go through 3 games of shit just to get shipwrecked then delete a dream island.
Hero of Time objectively speaking.
Majora's Mask Link had to start off coping with the fact that he has nothing to show for everything he fought for, then get's trapped in the spookiest Zelda plot yet.
So burnt by it all he became a restless spirit.
fuck
That Link was also the same one from ALttP.
The manga of Link's Awakening was actually really interesting because it explored the ramifications of destroying a dream world that is kind of real, but also not real. In fact, Link's a much more interesting character in the manga series when he can talk, go figure.
The same Link as Zelda 1. Comes across a declining kingdom and opts to save the princess from Ganon while having the least amount of direction in the series, and then when he thinks Ganon's all good and dealt with, the princess goes into a deep sleep and he has to travel the rest of the continent by himself on-foot to brave the greatest challenges of the land and even himself. All the while Ganon's followers are hounding him and attempting to murder him very aggressively for his blood to resurrect their leader.
Link to the Past Link is a good contender too, since his uncle fucking died, his initial attempts to save Zelda fail and get a priest killed, and then he has to warp between two worlds just to save everyone. Even after he stops Ganon and saves the world, he goes and saves two other lands from their troubles, and then gets shipwrecked at sea and we never know what happens to him after that besides a descendant carrying on in a Link Between Worlds.
>his girlfriend becomes a Seagull
>Windffish awakens and doesn't even bother to take Link back to land
>probably lost a bunch of valuables on the ship he was
>probably suffered a bunch of brain damage
>probably died at sea
SS by a long shot.
Followed by TP, AlttP, WW and the first Zelda.
>tfw falling in love with a girl in your dreams is falling in love with yourself
he probably became a farmer all told
OG because I kept getting him killed
Skyward Sword Link
zelda is for cuckolds and nintoddlers, none of them are men
So like OoT/MM Link?
I still think he got on with Malon, thus the farmer Link in Twilight Princess.
Oracles Link.
16 fucking dungeons, not counting Black Tower/Onox Castle or the final maze thingy.
Considering he only meets Saria, Zelda and Malon (that we know of) in the child timeline Malon is almost the only answer for who he procreated with.
Talon, Malon, and Jimmy Fallon
everybody here who didn't mention majora's mask hasn't played majora's mask
Majora's Mask is the toughest emotionally at least
He confuses her for Zelda at first since they look similar, hence the attraction. And was it really his dream, or that of the Wind Fish?
>the wind fish wants to be the little girl
does that make the wind fish like moot
I'd say OOT Link's MM adventure. While Ganon was perfectly content to sit on his throne for years to wait for all the pieces to fall into place, Skull Kid just wants to nuke everything ASAP. On top of the strict time limit, he has to go to an alternate dimension, learn how to manipulate time in his favor and frequently undergo painful transformations to even be able to traverse Termina. There's also the weight of having to deal with literally everyone's shit. At least his fairy partner's a cute tsundere this time around.
Sort of, they both fucked off and let the world they created go to shit.
>Zelda is for cuckolds
>Link is a blue eyed/blonde haired warrior who always gets his girl
>Nathan Drake raises his Wife's Daughter after getting his ass handed to him by a Black woman nowhere near his weight
Emotionally I'd say Majora's mask Link. He's on the brink of Armageddon 24/7 (or should I say 24/3). Sure, every other Link knows impending doom is near but this is the only one who really knows when time is up.
So it was all an elaborate ERP with the Wind Fish?
LA was pretty bad emotionally too. Waking up the Wind Fish meant not only the nightmares disappear but all the innocent, peaceful residents as well.
Nintendo aren't very subtle about their Aryan roots.
Can't help but be reminded of that one guy who RP'ed 4000 characters simultaneously in Terraria.
>first 3 answers
>Wind Waker
>Twilight Princess
>Skyward Sword
Fuck some of you are young.
If videogame characters were real and the games we played were glimpses into their universe, then this game would be the literal hell of that universe for any Link.
Wind Waker Link
>do ANYTHING by himself
kek. The tiny babby had his hand held every step of the journey, getting headpats the whole while. Wind Waker Link didn't have an adventure, he got a participation medal.
That's every console Link after and including OoT though. Especially Fiward Sword.
I don't think the Zelda from the first game is the same one found in the second, is it? I thought Zelda from Adventure of Link was the other one's great-grand-aunt or something.
Apparently the one in Zelda II is the same one as Link to the Past, put in a sleeping spell that kept her in a deep sleep for generations.
Which means the Zelda of the first game just.. fucks off or something I guess. You do get to visit a majorly downsized version of the first game's Hyrule briefly, so maybe she's just ruling there.
>Apparently the one in Zelda II is the same one as Link to the Past
That's interesting, you got a source for that? Link Between Worlds kind of retcons that though, since you'd think they would bring up the comatose princess at some point.
It's not, the Link in Adventure of Link is the one from the first game. He's the third one in the downfall timeline.
I'm trying to find info on it, I thought Hyrule Historia said it, but I may be wrong. It's still jarring that it's two different Zeldas but the same Link though, and how long the sleeping Zelda's been around isn't really known.
>downfall timeline
>link fails
Sick of this shit. It's a pointless shoehorn and makes a lot more sense when you put that timeline after the link lives his life as a child timeline.
It's true the downfall timeline is retarded but it's canon and it looks like that's where Breath takes place.
CD-I Link, for his creators must have truly hated him.
Link Between Worlds is fake
The one from the cartoon. He just wanted to score with Zelda, yet he only got one season from DIC
I dunno about "most difficult adventure" but he definitely had the hardest time.
Show me the tweet that says so.
breath of the wild link
Hey, at least we know how that story ends though.
In the royal bedroom.
Adding my vote to Zelda 1/2 Link. Hyrule is practically empty, except monsters, he carries a raft and ladder with him wherever he goes, and the only friendly people around cock-tease him with worthless cryptic hints like DODONGOS DISLIKE SMOKE and IT'S A SECRET TO EVERYBODY. After somehow managing to reduce Ganon into a pile of glowing shit, he has the privilege of fighting off Ganon's hard-gay thugs who think nothing of raping his boyish asshole until its ruptured bleeding brings back their lord. All the while walking around towns filled with even MORE unhelpful assholes with an adventure leading up to a "trust nobody not even yourself" finale.
And to top it all off Nintendo hates this guy so much that they stick his games into the "lol everything sucks this is the bad version of events" """timeline""" because the thought of accomplishing something heroic under such overwhelming odds (as well as the inability to cut grass) clearly irritates Aonuma.
Why can only some of the Links use sword beams when SS shows it's an inherent ability of the Master Sword?
Gameplay mechanics, no real story mechanics.
Z1 and 2 Link don't even use the Master Sword, or at least not as we know it given that Z1 had the 'Magic Sword' that was just higher damage.
LINK
HE COME TO TOWN
COME TO SAVE
THE PRINCESS ZELDA
How come some of the Links can roll? You can't do something you never learned how to do. Some Links just never have the thought, "I wish my sword was also a gun."
where did this come from anyway
