It was hard for me to choose between Xenoblade and The Last Story, but where I went into Xenoblade knowing I'd love it (it would probably be no. 10 if my mosaic had one more), I was so pleasantly surprised by The Last Story, and I loved the combat system.

BTW MIDDLE LEFT IS TEMPEST 2000 AND BOTTOM MIDDLE IS ALL OF ABA GAMES' TITLES (I COULDN'T PICK JUST ONE) plus they're freeware so go play them now

I love the Last Story because it's a small scale JRPG that escalates really well.

TTYD has one of the best combat systems I've ever played and a great, varied narrative.
