Oh boy i cant wait

I was pretty hyped for this game when they showed it in E3 but I have gradually grew more and more distant to it.
its just far cry + Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter
Open world meme is over done
Looks fun for a few hours of mindless shooting, why not
I've been replaying the original and had no idea this was coming out. I saw some of the video earlier and just felt sad. Rest in peace, Red Storm.
What the fuck, I thought that was an edited cover of Watch Dogs 2
I'll get it if the PC port is actually good
Im not holding my breath
Not my type of game at all, so I can't really say much about it. Ubisoft's recent output (R6 Siege, Watch Dogs 2 and The Division changes/post-launch support) has been great and For Honor looks fun as fuck, so this could be good.
A beta is coming up soon, you can register and try it out.
Oh boy, you don't sound like a shill at all.
Watch Dogs 2 looks like total crap
I just realized that myself, sorry
It's cracked and only 20 gigs, if you've got an open world itch I suggest you try it out
the marketing was fucking horrid, the game's not nearly as shitty and cringy as the marketing made it seem like
The alpha/beta was weeks ago. I know as I took part in 2 stints so far.
Its excellent.
Fucking sad mong
this looks like the most generic garbage of all time
>chinese shovelware MGSV clone with Ubisoft open world crap sprinkled all over it
Hopefully it'll flop.
Watch Dogs 2, The Division, and For Honor are all complete and utter garbage. Siege and Black Flag are the only good Ubisoft games of the past few years. This looks generic as fuck.
I had hopes regardign ubisoft after diamond in rought Siege, but this video proves nothing has changed inside the company. Or they didn't had balls to shut it down like Patriots? I can't belive this Metal Division Cry got approval.
4u
Call me whatever you want but I unironically enjoy Ubisoft open world games where when I am done with missions I just roam the map step by step and collect all collectibles.
It's relaxing.
Not particularly interested since it comes out within a few weeks of Breath of the Wild, Mass Effect Andromeda, Horizon Zero Dawn, Halo Wars 2, Sniper Elite 4, and Nioh. Looks to me like Ubisoft is sending it out to die amongst a plethora of far bigger and better games.
Just as long as there are no bullet sponges like the division im happy
>mass effect
>better games
Looks boring tbqh. Dlc attachment and guns will probably fuck it in the ass too
you are a fucking cool guy
>He says in a thread shilling generic Ubishit cancer
You goddamn well better believe it.
Their last video reminded me of Mercenaries, or at least what 2 was kind of supposed to be.
Still, the map looks good with a lot of variety and verticality. The gameplay looks similar to Future Soldier and that worked well. The big problemas here seems to be the AI and the forgiveness of the gameplay, everyone dies with one shot even with a pistol in the chest and the auto aim is huge. The AI seems blind and deaf with very basic tactics.
In a sidenote, I wish the voices sounded more professional like in the first GR. The same with the clothes and movement
Wish it wasn't so obvious they are reusing The Division's engine but at least it has some actual Tom Clancy elements in it.
>at least it has some actual Tom Clancy elements in it.
So what?
Tom Clancy is a hack.
Does anyone else miss games like the original Ghost Recon and R6 Rogue Spear? Not only does this game have the open world meme, but it seems like your typical cover shooter with regenerating health bullshit that we've already played a thousand times. Even the stealth seems incredibly unoriginal. Yeah, I think this is a pass for me. RIP tactical shooters.
I will get downgraded the fuck out but some features are interesting.
registered for the beta desu, can't wait
At least R6 Siege is kind of like a modern R6. Sorta. Closer than Vegas, at least.
I've never played it. Is it really that good? Does it have a single player campaign?
Played the technical test, it isn't. It wasn't as polished as The Division engine but also, that engine in particular only works in dense urban settings to cover up most of the view distance. The view distance for Wildlands is pretty impressive. Incidentally, the binary suggest it's called the 'Scimitar' engine, but Ubisoft hasn't talked about it specifically at all.
>RIP tactical shooters
>Arma, Squad, Insurgency, RO2 exist
>RS2 coming soon
It's effectively multiplayer only, but it's about 5v5 matches in urban environments. Very interesting use of terrain destruction to actually change the dynamics of play.
Isnt that the engine used in AssCreed?
No traditional SP, basicly its some entertaining solo missions (using t-hunt settings with a few chances) to learn the game mechanics and a very good t-hunt modes, although more balanced for Coop and no friendly AI. Higher difficulties have time limit so solo players get it a lot harder unless its hostage rescue. Still worth it for 20 bucks
Don't people mostly play those games for multiplayer? I'm talking about games like Rogue Spear, that actually let you plan out your insertions and give squad commands to the AI and such. It seems like games like those are mostly dead.
Few changes*
>qt widow milf
>cartel boss
I may have to give it a go at some point, doesn't sound too bad. Shame about the lack of a campaign though.
I have a physical copy of those. I also played the Wildlands technical test. It honestly just feels like an Advanced Warfighter game but open world, and it generally doesn't really suffer from it (AI was sometimes a bit iffy) while adding the ability to choose how to tackle a zone. This includes some other more detailed stuff like taking down power generators are closely watching who goes in and out so you can pose as a supplier or something like that.
Honestly if there's anything I wouldn't mind open world it's Ghost Recon, it fits pretty well. They also managed to put in a lot of (story related)banter while playing so it doesn't feel like you're missing out on a narrative.
My biggest gripe so far is that I'm afraid it might not have as many guns as I'd want. I also played The Division which Red Storm made the weapons assets for, and it had an absolute shit ton of guns. The technical test definitely didn't have all the guns in it, but I still don't think they'll be able to match The Division. Which is a shame, because The Division is bullet sponges incarnate, while Wildlands enemies (and you) die in 1-2 shots, even when it's not to the face.
The Gunsmith thing makes it a lot more work to include more weapons while in the division they just had to do what they always did. Still, Future Soldier hadmore guns then expected And it had Gunsmith too
That's true, and also a thing I forgot to mention. I'm /really/ happy Gunsmith made it in.
This is going to be like if Shadow of Mordor and The Division and Assassin's Creed had a baby.
Signed up for beta
>while Wildlands enemies (and you) die in 1-2 shots
Well this sounds promising at least. I'm going to take a wait and see approach with this game. I really don't want to feel buyer's remorse like I did with The Division again.
>Don't people mostly play those games for multiplayer?
With exception of arma, yes. I guess we never will see a good FPS with decent AI. So I'd better play with real meat people, than being embarrassed by my teammates.
Fair enough. I remember the AI in games like SWAT could do some really boneheaded things at times.
those games were still fun as fuck though.
Oh right, something I feel like mentioning from the technical test as well is that it had this ghillie suit, and the ENTIRE FUCKING THING had physics.
So I mean, fluffy cookie monster run is possible. It also has the ponytail/hair physics The Division had to cut out.
I'm interested because it's a tacticool co-op game, but I'm wary whether the controls, gameplay loop (ooh buzzwords!) and overall "feel" of the game is good enough to sink a full retail price and tons of time in.
I signed up for he beta but I guess I didn't get in.
>those AKs
kek
I miss old Ghost Recon and Rainbow so much. I just want a new tactical game like those.
>gameplay loop
?
>animations look like shit
>racial slurs while throwing grenades
>cringeworthy AI
>typical ubisoft shovelware dlc shitfest
>downgrades
>can't play as drug cartel member or leader
>le 4 man spec ops
its shit and not even interesting or anything original
I can see autism kids born in 2002 buying it though
The 'open world' stuff could be cool if they actually placed an emphasis on reconnaissance, planning and tactical assault. Stuff like intelligence gathering and tailing targets could be made pretty tense and exciting
I mean they won't. But it would be cool.
