When they have their online figured out.
They are still setting things up.
Also, on the projared interview Reggie offhanded commented about "over a 1000 virtual console titles"
>man I can't wait to pay Nintendo AGAIN to play the same retro games I bought on WiiU virtual console, which I also bought for Wii virtual console!
>paying for ROMs
Bend over for Reggie's big dick already you fucking faggot
who said anything about paying?
>Wii U Virtual Console
>Implying people weren't rightfully pissed with the lack of VC portability and didn't touch the Wii U's VC
>wanting to pay for yet another console, to pay again for the exact same rom you already played on 3ds, wii and wii u
Nintoddlers we're a mistake
...
When they figure out how to position rebuying the games or having a shit launch selection. Hope they have SM64.
>virtual console is free
What a literal, actual, genuine, undeniable, emphatic, actual retard
You'll be buying the same few games all over again as they gradually get re-released again, and now that Nintendo will be working on online, a bunch of classics won't show up until late into the Switch's lifespan or until it's already dead!
Fuck off astronomical faggot
t. Nintendrone
I'm alluding to piracy you dolt - I am 99% sure switch will get hacked.
Just play the roms on literally ANY device you own.
>who said anything about paying
You are going to pay for the Switch to hack it and play roms. Holy shit faggot.
almsot never, my friend hates Nintendo almost solely because of this reason
>> "over a 1000 virtual console titles"
Source?
we already have the details nintedie:
>1 loaned NES or SNES ROM per month
>have to rebuy all the digital games you bought on your previous console
enjoy your recycled diarrhea
When they decide how much they wanna jew it out.
The VC is only going to be the rental games from the online service. There will not be an option to buy the games.
Ideally
>every VC game you bought on Wii U/3DS is free
>no more shitty darkening filter
>GCN added, maybe with 720p rendering
What will actually happen
>you're gonna pay for the same drip feed of ROMS all over again and there'll be zero improvements
Lmao have fun waiting long ass time. Usually things with a paid online don't get hacked because even if you hack the switch how you gunna play online for free? You see PS4 or xbox 1 hacked yet?
what 1000? theres no way that can be right
More importantly, why haven't you hacked your Nintendo Switch yet?
Even if they do allow for transfer of VC games from Wii U, it won't matter to all the former Wii U owners who already ditched the thing because, knowing Nintendo, their solution will require you doing something on your Wii U in order to transfer the licenses over.
>Also, on the projared interview Reggie offhanded commented about "over a 1000 virtual console titles"
Give me a source on that.
God I want Sega platforms to be supported.
Prelaunch Direct at the middle/end of February, most likely.
Super mario 64 is almost 7% of the games
Maybe watch the ProJared video he directly mentioned in the post you quoted?
If you're dumb enough to sell your old consoles you'd deserve it desu
Why would I keep a console around that isn't getting any games?
>Annoying faggot e-celeb.
People on Sup Forums actually watch this shit?
I couldn't give a shit if they keep doing this shit
learn to emulate fag, stop supporting jewtendo
b-but it's nintendo!
I would like them to release shit at a faster rate. We barely got Star Fox 64 a few days ago I think.
I had to fuck around with my TV's color settings to try and correct this shit
Virtual Console doesn't matter. Get a Raspberry Pi, install RetroPie, have entire NES, SNES, Genesis, Gameboy, GBA, PlayStation, DOS, etc libraries on your TV. You can use a keyboard and mouse or just about any USB or Bluetooth controller. I use my Wii U Pro Controller with mine, and it works great.
I realized last year that the only thing I was using my Wii U for was the VC games. I researched the Raspberry Pi a little, found out how easy it was to set it up for emulation, and immediately sold my Wii U and bought a Pi. Even if I get a Switch at some point, I will never even need to look at the VC selections.
Pokemon Snap, F-Zero X, and Starfox 64 were the three most recent titles yes.
The fact that some SNES games have more accurate emulation on ZNES than the virtual console should be enough for you retards not buy those games. Also even if they hack it, it will take at least 2 years. And at that point there will be another android device better than this pile shit of shit for emulation.
Too much work, nerd. Fuck off.
To play your old games
Iv got your virtual console right here.
You mean you lack the skill to put a folder on a SD card and run an installer? How did you even manage to find Sup Forums?
>RetroPie
Fucking gross, just get a Wii for $20 and hack it.
>How did you even manage to find Sup Forums?
i clicked on a reddit post
theyre too busy thinking of new controller gimmicks for next gen
>WHEN WILL NINTENDO GIVE INFO
>here in this interview
>WTF PEOPLE WATCH ECELEB SHIT
it really makes you think
just waiting for what the online play is and how many games are going to get it
its only on the gamepad
I don't have time for that shit, kiddo. Stop wasting my time I said.
The colour is fucked on the TV as well, dumbass.
What other neat stuff can I do with the Raspberry Pi? Non vidya stuff?
>no N64, GC, Wii
>doing any of that shit when theres smartphones
fuck off retard
It feels soulless though, I just can't explain it
Now, emulating through my CRT via my Wii and playing with a classic pro controller feels right, or better yet the original console and physical game.
get a better tv dipshit, mine autocorrected it
is the latest Nintentoddler meme to pretend theyre big shots with high paying important jobs now? Lol
how much does Reggie pay these people to keep coming up with new online marketing gimmicks? why dont they just use that money to make games instead?
But can Wii do PS1 games? Checkmate
What's your imaginary problem with RetroPie? It's too good?
>But can Wii do PS1 games?
Yes.
wiibrew.org
Pretty much anything. It can run Kodi, so you can stop paying for TV. You can set one up to control your home lighting/air conditioning/whatever. Turn it into a media server. All kinds of stuff. They're very versatile, and since it's just a single small PCB, they can fit into all sorts of places. People build cool smart mirrors with them.
I'm playing Banjo-Kazooie on my Pi right now
Yes, actually. Not very well, but it can.
So you could either play PlayStation games on something that runs them well, or play them on something that doesn't run them well. Seems like a pretty easy choice, but I'm sure there are autists who will tell me playing them on the Wii is the better way to play even though they don't run well.
Too bad all the good games don't work though
wiibrew.org
pc is soulless,
they are robots
Input lag out the ass. I'm not usually one to make a big deal about that kind of thing, but RetroPie is really bad about it.
Not to mention that it's super limiting and you'd be better off getting a cheap PC if you want to emulate on a HDTV for God knows what reason.
Or you can use any of the other devices you have lying around that run PS1 just fine and not waste money on a meme device.
Don' t forget you also bought the Mini up your loose ass.
I've played dozens of games on my Pi, and never once noticed any input lag. Blew threw Mega Man X this morning, and it was fine. Better than the Wii U VC version, actually. That thing had lag, the Pi didn't.
>N64
>Emulation
no thanks
>Giving money to corporations that convinced me they love me using marketing is how you get a soul.
Stop it man its not even funny anymore.
Its literally fucked up levels of cult behavior.
This, you don't need i7 processors and high end graphic cards to make a pre-PS2 emulation machine. Just make one out of spare parts/old PC and that's it. If you're emulating on a TV you won't render the game at higher res anyway.
And there are always those front loaders or whatever they're called so you can turn your PC into a pseudo console/arcade machine without even seeing your OS and just booting games
youtube.com
Xenia is good enough too play Banjo 1 and 2.
I watched that video and I didn't find anything about 1000 virtual console games
Maybe it's better on the newer versions of the Pi, but even then you'd still be better off just hooking up a cheap PC or Wii since there's a very good chance you already have one of those.
>N64
>Emulation
no thanks
Sold my Wii years ago. My Pi is my cheap PC, it cost me $50.
This seriously bugs me, the Wii U had been around for years and it only recently started to get Nintendo 64 titles that has been avaidable on the Wii VC for ages
Xbox 360 BK and BT run natively.
You can acualy just get a Cheap old used laptop.
Most of them can run any old emulation game you throw at them specially if you use software rendering.
I bet they even use less power than an actual old console.
You can easily find old PCs in a pawn shop for like $20 and you'd get way more versatility out of them.
>buying roms
I didn't understand this shit 15 years ago with those SEGA collections on the PS2 and I don't understand it now.
People born after 85 should have their bank accounts frozen until they learn the value of money and stop buying DLC, remasters and paying for shit like that.
But the raspberry Pi does all the same stuff a PC does because it is a PC
Why would you buy Star Fox Zero if you could play the superior version with actually working controls?
They're waiting until right near launch. They want to get as many pre-orders as possible, and then they can feel more comfortable in dropping the bad news that they can't be bothered to make a system for allowing you to transfer old VC games over.
>soulless
>using buzzwords from 2013
Just get a raspberry pi, put retropie on there and get a USB SNES controller, literally you will not know the difference since Nintendo sells the same ROMs you download anyway.
I've been in many pawn shops in my life, and not once have I seen PC parts for sale. Old PCs maybe, if it a real ghetto pawn shop, but that's it. And I'm not about to spend $50 on a Compaq Presario.
Did you watch the actual video fag its not n64 emulation its 360 emulation of the remastered banjo 1 and 2.
Also most N64 games can be ran on Dolphin emulator if they ever got a VC release.
Its the best way to play Yoshi's Story.
>woooottttttt i need a source on that
>"gives source"
>STOOPID ECELEB SHIT UGGGGHHHH REEEEEEEEEEE
typical user virgins like you who will fucking bitch about anything
Raspberry Pi can't even do 1080p movies done in h.265, might as well actually get a PC so along with the retrogames I also get a media player.
>pay for a rom
>Oh hey, it seems people actually LIKE this 30 years old game, maybe we should make a remake/sequel
There is literally nothing wrong with buying a remaster of a game I don't already have, assuming it's of an acceptable quality.
That's not how it works at all
Did you..did you read the post?
>specifies they want to game on a CRT
>BUT MUH 1080p
Make up your fucking mind faggot.
That makes sense of course, but most people buying remasters already had the game but were forced to buy it again because of the lack of BC.
Tell me of one instance when this happened.
Even when DMC4 SE outsold DmC and was a success everywhere what did Capcom do?
Made a fucking Pachinko.
what's wrong with that?
nintendo games on the go
Now you're just grasping at straws.
Backs in the day people considered movies shit compared to actual Theater and Tv shit compared to radio.
You do realize its just a matter of time before E-celebs become the new norm.
Hell i bet most kids today care more about e-celebs than actual ones.
And they are the next generation.
The Pi is fucking terrible for CRTs though, unless you like getting eye cancer from retro games running at 480i. For CRT emulation nothing beats the Wii.
