why are you still here then ? just be hero or gtfo but don't post here
I come here for the shitposting and nostalgia trips.
If you don't like it so much then tell me off in the next thread I post in
Still trying to figure out how to get laid via video games so I'm still playing an enjoying them.
>consoles
You actually meant what age were you when you outgrew console games? Around 12.
The ps2 just didn't stand a chance next to Unreal Tournament, EverQuest, Quake 3, Counter Strike, Diablo 2 or Warcraft 3.
I bet the pussy never stood a chance against your dick
Im 25, and while I do play a little less, I wouldnt say its because I have "outgrown" them or got tired of them. Mostly its because of class and my girlfriend I would say
Sure, why not.
I'm 29, have a house, girlfriend, car and still play a fuckload of video games. I don't think I'll ever be someone that watches TV shows, I watch the occasional film, but games are very much my primary entertainment.
I'm financially set for life and I enjoy my job, so yeah. Enjoy not-video games.
>my childrens toys are more mature than your children toys
Im 27, working at a stable job, continuing to earn more and more and climbing the career ladder.
Video games are pretty much a thing of the past i mostly look at video game enthusiasts as autistic manchildren.
Every normal adult thinks that video games are for kids, so if youre 18+ and still play anything other than patrician-tier games (survival, strategy) you should probably kys youself.
>patrician-tier games (survival, strategy) you should probably kys youself.
>Im 27
a 27 year old would know how to meme correctly
lost all interest at 25. 6 years later and I only play the occasional Bethesda game.
I'm 20 and the only videogames I play now are rhythm games and fighting games
Wish I had known these were the oy games that could hold my attention before I bought a ps4 and a shit ton of steam games
More like they're simply better.
Also, not knowing the difference between toys and games is pretty immature of you user.
When the PS4 was announced and I realized I could comfortably live without whatever exclusives might come to a console, which this generation have been especially few.
never.
You sound like an insecure teenager
28. It's been months. I just don't give a fuck. Time to grow up.
>shitposting
This guy knows what's up.
38 here
not yet
im still playing paladins with my homies
18
still enjoying them
Outgrew? Not yet, 33.
I have far less time for them though and I don't even have a kid yet. I've become much more selective in what I play as a result.
Pic related, its what games I've beaten the past 4 years.
22, games just stopped holding my interest for more than an hour at a time. I mainly shitpost and play an occasional game with some friends online.
97. I still play PS4 occasionally.
whats even worse is being 26, not giving a shit about vidya but still obsessing over childhood ps1 games and forcing others to discuss them with you on mongolian cartoon boards
>consoles
Another 26 here, I can only play on handhelds in bed these days.
26 and my consoles also collect dust, but that's because most of the shit I like is on PC. The last new console I bought was a 360. There are plenty of games I wouldn't mind trying on the consoles that I've missed but its too much money to spend just to play those few games.
...
21 I just really hate playing with my housemate, he's a fat fuck and is terrible at games when he has no right to be.
If you're reading this pay the rent next time and stop stuffing your fat fucking face
26, I still like games a lot, but I wish I could just have fun with them instead of obsessing about my success.
I suppose I should stop trying to use them as replacements for actual real life achievements, but I'm so shit it's pretty hard not to be addicted.
26 here
play my psquadruple all the time
Making me keep at work ty
thats about right
i still play stuff on my pc but whatever
i used a gravis gamepad and logitech wingman much more than any controller for any "modern" console
probably 2007 was when i started to get really disillusion with AAA, when everyone around me was sucking bioshock's dick and i was like "it's system shock 2 with a better presentation and a worse inventory system, but you haven't played that, so..."
braid was my goty 2008, mirror's edge was my goty 2009, and i liked dawn of war 2 more than starcraft 2 (and i'm a former 'masters' 1v1 and 2v2 player, if that means anything (hint, it doesn't, so stop wasting your time on it))
Bloodline champions was the last multiplayer game i liked (dont tell me to buy battlerite, i did, and it sucks), because it really gave me wow arena feels (i was gladiator s3 and s4, to put in perspective how much time and effort i wasted, and my ex gf broke up with me in 2012 anyway after i didnt buy cata.)
Minus the blog post, I still 'want' to like games, but d44m and dark souls 3 and all the other shit just isnt as good as its earlier incarnations....
The last sequel i think i thought was maybe better than the previous was metroid prime 2 or f-zero X.
i really miss starfox 64 and games like that, so. idk.
no rts for me
no space sims for me (tachyon the fringe is great)
i find myself replaying stuff like Postal and crying because nothing this good will ever come out again. (1, not 2).
and prey was the last 'old school' fps, so...idk.
im 26 for reference.
5 years ago, when all my friends left.
>How old were you when you outgrew video games?
Probably ten or eleven.
I don't know, it might be very soon. The main multiplayer game that I've put about 10k+ hours in (Xfire days + Steam) is just really dead now and all the players/friends moved on. I'm one of the only few left and the rest of the remaining are shit heads for the most part.. I think this might be it bros. It sucks being at the bottom of the barrel as the last drop.
>people on the internet who say they have depression usually sound like stupid faggots
>OP is like a-bloo-bloo I hate video games now muh feels
You might have depression OP
Think it depends on what you mean 'outgrew' do I just pick anything up these days? No, not really.
I do still play vidya but I don't excessively play it like I used too. Maybe its because I grew up with gen 4-6 gen consoles and DOS games but nowadays a lot really doesn't appeal to me. I'm happy just to go back to play roller coster tycoon than buy some nu-shit that's half baked and requires 10 DLCs to complete.
But you're still plaing them right?
rip xfire
what game
not eve online right lol
are you shitting on planet coaster or roller oaster tycoon world, i'm not sure
either way, open RCT2 is the way to go now.
prout
@xfire.. jedi knight
>More like they're simply better.
They aren't. Also games are toys. They existed only for fun. You act like underage like most of PC fans though.
>They existed only for fun
So is football a toy as well?
>tfw you have to educate Anons on such basic principles
You're lucky I still had the tab opened.
>confusing a toy and a game
>in XXI
anons
I'm 27 and I don't think I've been fully engaged in games since I was in my early 20s. I occasionally play a game now and then but its usually 4-5 a year. The last thing to really get me excited was replaying the Mass Effect series
Not him, but
jedi knight had multilplayer?
what thefuck?
i enjoyed teh single player an katarn is a badass but w/e
27 here. I'm having as much fun as I did back when I was a kid. Fuck you "tired gamers"
21, aka now. Hopefully once I get a proper job I can buy a decent PC and try out all the stuff I've missed. I'm hoping my interest in vidya will be rekindled
I-it's my genetics dave I can't help it
Autism isn't something to celebrate.
32yo here, still enjoying the fuck out of video games. Sort your problems out, user.
I never outgrew games, I grew old enough to expect more from them though.
Take Bethesda for example.
I love their games: they're open,
allow for decent character
creation "aside from FO4",
and usually have a alight
world to explore.
But what have they
nnovated on? All their
games have been mostly t
he same since Morrowind,
hell they've even declined
in quality. I should be able to
interact with the world more by now.
My actions should impact changes
to the world, that you can see,
hear, and even be affected by : good or bad.
We haven't gotten that. I've been playing the same game for 10 years "pretty much": with updated graphics, mechanics , sound, but no heart. And I'm sad.
Are you me OP ? 26 too, and damn it feels like i'm too depressed to play and enjoy them anymore.
I think it's because i'm lacking some kind of other passion or goal in life.
