So how's that game of yours coming along?

So how's that game of yours coming along?

Making a hack and slash, gonna try porting it to mobile after completion.

But at this rate I'm probably gonna make a diablo clone, since touchscreens a shit

Working on another interior section

sucking at Blender

nice minecraft clone

That looks cool 2bh

Nice, keyframes?

yeah, I understand there are other ways to animate in blender but the keyframes seem so much easier to wrap my head around.

thx m8

Just launched a new demo.
Added mouse acceleration and Remade the aiming so its more free.

Madness Combat 3D WHEN!?

just fine thank you.
Doing legs today

i like how that gun aims, kinda makes it feel more tangible rather than being plastered into a fixed position in the first person view

project nexus 2

follow your dreams, user.

you can go right back and remove that mouse acceleration again

Working on a train segment where you have to maneuver over the carriages and avoid robots and shit before fighting the end-level boss (the front carriage of the train, obviously)

It's going alright, except my computer is shit so any recording software I use tends to violently rape both the quality and the framerate

I'm making vr shin megami tensei ripoff because I know atlus won't do it

Your left hand is an smt IV style cyber gauntlet that has the menu and allows you to select what moveyour party members will use, on your turn you can attack with your sword in the right hand or move your left hand in different shapes to cast a spell. For instance the confusion status inflicting spell requires you to draw out a spiral motion in the air and then punch to shoot the spell out of your gauntlet.

oh my

>added mouse acceleration
for what fucking reason

Took most part of this week to write the story. Had to spend hours on wikipedia and archeological sites to understand what the hell i am even supposed to write about.

probably still uses a ballmouse

I'm notch 2.0. Bow before my baldness

Maybe you might want to slow down that movement. Looks like you move 8000 pixels per second.

Some warning arrows telling you they are about to come fuck you up might be nice.

Keep up the work on PN2
Think of the hot dollars

thanks man

This was my camera before it. you could only move it in a certain speed.
using the mouse felt realy bad.
If you moved the mouse just a little bit it would move the same speed as moving it realy fast.

I made an animation for a wind sword attack

Semi-related question.
I try to write stuff sometimes, only to get utterly disgusted by the result and throw it away.
Any of you guys felt the same ?

It doesn't normally run that fast, I'm gonna shift blame the recording software to be honest. If you check the counter in the corner, the seconds seem to be going quicker than they should be. Not really sure why it's done that.

That's precisely what I had planned on implementing next

that's normal. you gotta power through it or you'll be mired in your own doubt forever like everyone else.

>thread dying
That's what you get for not putting engine logos in the OP for people to shitpost about

I wrote a story for my game and thought it was the dumbest shit. Showed it to some friends and they said it wasn't bad.

Just have someone look at it.

Working on the stat system and skill trees.
And thinking about reworking the combat altogether. I wanted to make it similar to hotline miami, but with magic and combos and shit.
Feels floaty as fuck, but the animations and models are placeholders, so maybe that's the issue

Say you're actually talented at writing and can write an entire script for a game you'd like to make, but have no technical skills to make the game. Is it all that viable to try and find people that would work for you or share your idea?

It seems like my only hope is to make enough money where I can basically create a small studio. I did start making a basic RPG awhile back with RPG Maker just to try and learn a few things, but Unity and all that stuff is far beyond me.

>Is it all that viable to try and find people that would work for you or share your idea?
No unless you have capital to back it up and find people that actually know what they are doing.
Meme modeling idiots like you can find on deviantart or odesk where people have finished very questionable 3D or programing universities can sabotage your efforts in the first week.
People also tend to remix or refine already existing stuff without thinking ahead of how to be original which for example a lot of indie games to look/feel really really shallow and get boring in the first 15 minutes because its all stuff already seen or done better in other games.

try to publish your shit as a lightnovel to get some attention
