Being a cynical asshole - all the time, every time - for video games is pretty much something that works more than half the time when looking at anything analytically. It's either they're wrong more than half the time in a lazy fashion or they have to put forth the effort to stand behind their beliefs or customs and have the proof to say what makes a game good and what makes a game bad, and I'm pretty sure you can tell me which one's more than likely to take hold of someone on here.

The latter's a nice change of pace, in that case. You can tell when a person knows what he's talking about on Sup Forums as compared to someone shit-posting and/or genuinely retarded. But, the problem's still there that you're having to deal with those fucking idiots.

But, as cynical as I sound, these idiots aren't going to go away. The newfaggots on their phones during their high school classes or the people trying to fit in so badly with the fucking terrible post-ironica twitter anagrams? That'll change to a new flavor of shit given enough time, just as it has the other times before. Either that, or the people behind it'll actually get a fucking brain and make something out of themselves, but that's highly unlikely.

To you, Sup Forums sounds bitter, but you're looking in the wrong places. There's a lot of discussions and threads that still pop up that are either comfortable as hell or actually really nicely formulated and respectful (or at least a little less snide/memetic) in terms of discussion.
