HORIZON ZERO DAWN CONFIRMED FOR GOTY

>"Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan and Asia showcased more gameplay of Horizon: Zero Dawn at Taipei Game Show in Taiwan, during a second stage event following the one earlier this morning.

>On top of showing gameplay, Art Director Roy Postma and Producer Samrat Sharma also answered a few questions from the hosts, giving some interesting information about the game.

>We learn that there will be many NPCs in the world, and in some cases they’ll join Aloy on her quests and fight alongside her, while in other cases Aloy will be able to join them on their own quests.

>Players will be able to ride other machines later in the game, not just the Broadhead that we have seen so far. Postma was asked whether we’ll be able to ride flying machines, but he said he couldn’t answer that question (some might consider the lack of answer interesting on its own, but of course that would be just speculation).

>Sharma also exoplained that enemy level scales up with Aloy’s level as she progresses through the game."

>Sharma also exoplained that enemy level scales up with Aloy’s level as she progresses through the game.

lol

>enemy scaling
This kills the game.

its really surprising how little we know about this game, and its almost out.

>Art director in charge of commenting on gameplay
>Enemy level scaling
>Escort NPC bullshit
>"Some might consider the lack of answer interesting on it's own"
Yes, those people are called retards and faggots who fantasize about "potential" Not putting major features on your sales pitch doesn't happen anymore, so it's not in the game, they just want to keep stringing people along.

>Sharma also exoplained that enemy level scales up with Aloy’s level as she progresses through the game

The Sup Forums leaker confirmed that you can fly them.

>from the developers of Killzone

I was kinda disapointed at how much battle oriented it was. It didn't look that stealth and hunt were really part of the game. It was a classic boss fight with weak points and phases.

>enemy level scales
Then what's the point of adding tag mechanic?

>enemy scaling
>main character uses a bow

Boring garbage.

>>Sharma also exoplained that enemy level scales up with Aloy’s level as she progresses through the game."
Ahahahah

How? That's a good thing as you get stronger so does the enemies

>A marketing shill posted marketing bullshit ""leaks""
Wew.

I was already sold on the combat depth and enemy diversity but I was worried about the questing, I guess testerkun wasn't lying when he said the questing is a lot like the witches, can't wait

After seeing the setting I was sort of interested in the game, too bad it seems like highly derivative by the numbers garbage.

So then you're not getting stronger now are you? There is no progression in terms of strength when that doesn't actually make a difference.

The right way to do this is by introducing new mechanics and elements by bringing in new enemies as the player gets new weapons/skills to use against them, just having enemies get more health and damage as you level up is a really retarded replacement from designing actual enemies that progress in difficulty in parallel to you in terms of mechanics, not just numbers.

have we seen the same vids?

>Art director not tarred and feathered after being reponsible for the abomination that is Aloy
You neeed to check your priorities, user.

>Level scaling
Pass

>Sharma also exoplained that enemy level scales up with Aloy’s level as she progresses through the game."
game confirmed for hot garbage

>there are people here who actually believe enemy scaling is a good thing

it'll be better than breath of the wild at least.
Won't be my personal goty.

>Sharma also exoplained that enemy level scales up with Aloy’s level as she progresses through the game
Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

I've played both due to my position as a game tester.

Lol.

Horizon has terrible frame rate issues when there's more than three creatures on the screen at once (On the standard PS4, not sure about Pro) and the 'twist' about Aloy being a machine all along is the most hackneyed and predictable thing you can imagine.

It's part of the reason why Bethesda games suck, especially Fallout. For one, it's an excuse to not come up with more enemies.

>too strong to fight normal ghouls?
>here's a GLOWING ghoul now.

You're getting stronger, you' ll still kill early enemies with one hit in late game. I don't see the problem here. The games that don't have level scaling have rehashed enemies but with different colors. Wew, so much 'better'

>ENEMY SCALING

kek, press F to pay respects

Anyone surprised? Guerillia will never ever make a good game. Get shit on sonyggers.

Enemy scaling is a great thing when done well such as Fallout 3 or Skyrim, keeps a game interesting after 200+ hours where otherwise you steamroll everything effortlessly.

>when done well such as Fallout 3 or Skyrim,

>Enemy scaling is a great thing when done well such as Fallout 3 or Skyrim,
You have never been more wrong.

why does her name have to be such a meta meme name like Aloy?

cant it just be something normal like

Candy or Sarah Rachel or something

Aloy

jesus christ

>done well such as Fallout 3 or Skyrim
oh yeah its real great there.
>bandit in rags dies in three swings to starting sword
>bandit in armor dies in three swings to magic sword
>bandit in end game armor dies in three swing to super sword
really makes you feel like you're progressing doesn't it?

I saw gameplay of the combat and that is NOT GOTY material I can tell you that right now.

It's so when it turns out she's a cyborg at the end you're like "omg it was in her name the whole time!!"

>you' ll still kill early enemies with one hit in late game
Nigger, have you never played Skyrim?
You could go back to areas that you traveled through when you were level 4 at level 30 and run into level 30 bandits in fucking top-tier armor.
Same shit, no one likes that stupid level scaling.
Skyrim is literally the worst example of enemy scaling, it's what ruined the combat even more in that game.

Isn't that just Far Cry? And a very primitive looking one

>Sharma also exoplained that enemy level scales up with Aloy’s level as she progresses through the game."

Dropped.

F

rest in piss, and people tried pitting this up against zelda
actually lmaoing right now

Aren't you the one assuming that enemies leveling mean only health and damage increases? Maybe certain level mobs have access to different abilities, weapon set ups.

>level scaling
>MC who won't shut the fuck up

Nah. I'll take Nioh instead.

Witcherfags everyone

>Aren't you the one assuming enemy scaling means what enemy scaling means?
Are you okay user?

If it didn't have scaling then the game would have a backwards difficulty curve. A game that gets easier as you play it is a bad game.

The only other way to do it other than scaling is to use the WoW method where you can only go to certain zones at certain levels, which defeats the fucking purpose of an open world game and just makes everything extremely linear.

>Maybe certain level mobs have access to different abilities, weapon set ups.
>expecting this from western devs
guerilla games are not nearly that creative enough, user

>Maybe certain level mobs have access to different abilities, weapon set ups.
Not him, but let's be honest, that won't be the case.
This game looks like it's trying to appeal to ultra normies, and they'd never go for that.

>done well such as Fallout 3 or Skyrim

>Scaling

Preorder cancelled.

>A game that gets easier as you play it is a bad game.
I can't think of many games that don't get easier as you play them.
Even games like Bayonetta and DMC get easier as you unlock new skills, weapons, and stat boosts.
The thing is, those games also introduce new enemies and often have difficult boss fights, and I doubt this game will have particularly hard boss fights based on what we've seen so far.

Hi Todd

How about instead recycling enemies you create new ones? Cray right?

Look at all the cucks who fell for the b8

Grats man

...

>I'm retarded!
>lolno just baiting
Yeah fuck off.

>from the writers of the best fallout (new vegas)
>froms the develops of the best witcher game (witcher 3)
>from the developers of the best killzone game (killzone 2)

Oh boy a shill thread

>Samrat Sharma

poo in it

>level scaling
>open world towers, but with a tweeeeest - they're mobile (but still probably patrol in a circle)
>shit plot with third grade foreshadowing, protagonist named Aloy that never knew her mother in a world plagued by robots, with underground vaults told to be holding some secret
>crafting
my interest for this game diminishes with every new tidbit of information available, no 0onwder they don't want to spoil that the last boss is a flier that you have to ride and kill in a QTE

but everyone's calling the game shit
OP may be a shill but everyone saw through him

>game about some smelly hippies
>recycled and tired Ubisoft open world formula
>Enemy level scaling, easy as fuck combat

No thanks.

I can't take another game aping the Ubisoft open world formula.
Jesus christ that got old fast.

>the best witcher game
the best you will ever have is still a shit.

Game looks boring as fuck desu, plus, there's so many good games coming out the next couple months for PS4 that I can't even begin to get interested in this game.
