He formed it but I would say Ezio had to through more trouble and lost more. His kill count is pretty sick too. Altair's k/d ratio suffered when he was in exile for 20 years doing fuckall but to look into his apple.

Ezio was in his 40s when he became the mentor and was 10 times more interesting as a character

His body was already 60 because he was never allowed rest

I think there was a line in revelations when Ezio says, "Altair, by my age you had accomplished so much." Or something like that, I don't remember. It's safe to say they are both way better than Connor and the shit that followed him.

It's the opposite of that, actually. In Revelations he was in his 50s and still able to parkour.

You can't expect much from Connor because he has no clue about the civilized world that Assassins and Templars operate in. And the game ends before he can really understand it.

I feel like Ezio is just being humble, I mean even before Revelations he pretty much completely dismantled all Templar operations in Italy.

Altair was also based enough to tell Ezio through prototype Animus pieces that he should retire before he ends up alone in a tomb like him.
