You know, if they really wanted variety... They should have made the first time you select a character it be worth x5 or x10 picks. Any repeat selections would be 1pt. That way we could pick our favorites from across all the games instead of desperately just voting for one character, who will just be something like Hector, a waifu, or meme character.

None of it matters, Lucina's a shoo-in for the girl slot and Marth/Chrom is a shoo-in for the boy slot.

I know the "to intelligent" joke is used sarcastically, but she actually was too intelligently written for Awakening. Any character that acts differently after something happened, will suddenly revert to their old selves for certain tile and support conversations. Yarne was the same way, and IS only barely got it figured out by the time the summer scrambles released

Awakening is fun to go back to every now and then. After slogging through bullshit like Conquest hard, it feels nice to be able to completely break the game with pair up, getting every unit to the max levels and shipfagging it up is actually rather fun so long as you keep that shit contained.

To be fair, Cordy has the same development in every S Support. Just make a flag that changes her dialogue should she reach S Rank with anyone.

I'm on 25 and I cannot deal with these debuffs. The worst part is I know that in lunatic it introduces an enemy skill where debuffs will stack.

Lobster revenge chapter. Beat Kagero and Saizo to stop Ryoma from cutting your ass open in 25 turns.
Most puppets have spy yumis and defense seal which have a range of 3 to debuff you and not get counterattacked, and some ninjas have spy shurikens which do the same thing and have IIRC attack seal.
Most everyone has savage blow too so they'll knock 20 percent of units health per attack.

I liked how it was usually a quicker idea to just charge Ryouma and murder him unless your MC was underleveled. The 25 turns were more to snag some more exp for your underfed no grind conquest units.

IIRC you can lure the ninjas out in the right hallway of death so long as you can have someone who can take a punch and then smoke their ass on the next turn. For the leftside puppets I believe I split my forces, on Lunatic they actually do some kinda funny thing where they can switch with a character where they slide all the way up to Seizo/Kagero (I don't remember which one is on the left)

If you think those debuffs are bad, you should try the Lunatic version of a later chapter when one character can infinitely debuff you on 80% of the map, and the debuffs all stack.

People played up the great wall of Takumi but the only real difficulty with that one was the abundance of Spear Fighters and their seal skills fucking with vital stats

Setsuna was a real pain in the ass to deal with, especially when backed by Hazama with a Hexing Rod

Speaking of, fuck the Hexing Rod and the inability to remove its debuff

Same. I had to crawl through that chapter baiting out the reinforcements because I didn't want the fucking priest to stun a unit while Setsuna and 500 fliers and range attack oni chieftans gangbang it. Even Camilla with some 50 health couldn't withstand that.

You have the hallway of death or the cut through hell, each unit bearing inevitable end and some sort of seal or post-battle damage skill, and you're telling me you grinded your underused units there? I barely beat both sides and I had to do it solo with lodestar Xander bearing shurikenbreaker.

Yeah I didn't mean the units I didn't use enough, I mean that all your conquest units were underfed and the enemies were a precious source of exp.

Great wall is easy you rally Xander+Effie send them up, then on your next turn, send them down to be healed, danced, and rallied and return back up there.
The only flaw with that is it's hard to stop best Hoshidan Oboro from dying

I just used non combat units like Hinata, Azura, and Jakob to eat it

Use the spy yummis with lunge against them, I put Effie+Silas (Beruka rallies them) diagonally down so one spy yummi had to leave the room, and then one was in the bottom left corner of the map so I could defeat it with ranged attack.

Then on the right Xander has Hinata do rally def, Arthur do rally str, and Charlotte pair up. He managed to get 40 def like that so the actual shurikens wouldn't do any damage to him

Sigurd and Sanaki so far. Not really interested in wasting my votes on characters already guaranteed and confirmed to make it in.

Strange, CQ was the only tun where any of my units got to lvl 20, I think only Ryoma got past lvl 15 in BR, and in Rev most of my team were sitting on 12-18

Well it's going to pretty much be dominated by Lucina, Camilla, Ike, Tharja, Chrom, Marth, Takumi etc. then if Japan takes charge of the poll like it likely will. Hell it might not even need Japan for that outside of maybe Takumi who is only really popular there.

Conquest units have good growths and start higher leveled than Birthright units (some actually good prepromotes for once). It's also considerably more difficult, since you can rely on Ryouma from his intro onwards.

it's misleading to imply Camilla and Tharja are anywhere close to Lucina. Camilla's not even the most popular in her own game
